well and it got legal in the same way than gay marriage got legal now...  the south didnt choose to let interracial marriage happen, they were forced to legalise it because the Suprem Court ruled those laws unconstitutional.

(an im not sure if all states changed their laws, i just know that some state just changed the law in 2000.)

Very positive news and another indicator at least in the USA that religion's influence is reducing. I'm not gay but its absolutely none of my business if two same sex people love each other and want to make their partnership official in law.

Unfortunately on the other side of the coin the islamic extremists will see it as another reason to hate the USA and western countries.

However for me it does make the world seem a slightly better place now. I don't live in the USA so don't know how this came about but a job well done for those who managed to achieve this.

This is great news! Don't know why some state's banned it, but now its legal! Welcome to the club America (this is coming from Canada :P).

So, you support married couples not being alowed to visit each other in the hospital?  Kids being taken away because their partner can't adopt and discrimation against interracial couples?  Cause that's what will be into place without these kinds of ruling.

"Sorry Mam, we belive marrage is only for couples that can produce children, so your marriage isn't leagal here. Freedome!"

"Sorry Mam, I don't believe in same sex marraige - so eventhough you legally adopted your wife's children, now that she passed, we are taking them away and giving them to strangers.  Suck it up, Freedom!"



 

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

The law was changes by a nearly exact same ruling by the US Supreme Court in Loving vs Virginia in 1967:  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loving_v._Virginia

Yes, it was still illegal in some states till this century.  AND if people could vote on it, it would have been illegal till like 2003 in states like Mississippi.

Technically, wouldn't this be government getting smaller? The Supreme Court made it so that states can't pass laws banning gay marriage.

Nobody is forcing you to like gay marriage or support it in any way and Churches still aren't required to perform them either. This just means that the government (at any level) doesn't have the right to discriminate against same sex couples when it comes to marriage.

There is actual a pretty good legal case against displaying religous text on government property, there is really no legal case against gay marriage.

Yep you got it lets take what really matter s on human irrational thinking and why earth being destroyed because of it.  

Take California for a huge prime example we have built cities and towns more and more on desserts or places with little water because we now have the technology to bring in water else where. Any other animal in this world when a place doesn't support life the animals migrate, humans use to do the same thing, see ghost towns. Now because of people's less and less use of the natural (common sense) instinct and we want a perfect world mentality we are slowly destroying other Eco-systems so we can send water to people living on deserts. If the place can't support life do not live there, sorry that's life.

Which leads to my point if a gay person living in a small town that doesn't support gay marriage should probably move to a place like San Francisco migrate to suppot your way do not force others to support your decision.
