PSN download speeds are slow. Sony is aware and is working on a fix.

European PS4 owners took to the PlayStation forums to complain this week after suffering unusually slow download speeds on the PlayStation Network.

Many PS4 owners complained of slow speeds while downloading games from the PlayStation Store, including DRIVECLUB PS Plus Edition, Batman Arkham and the 24GB The Elder Scrolls Online patch. Sony has responded to complaints by confirming that it is aware of the issue and is currently under investigation.

"We are aware of reports that some users are experiencing slower then usual download speeds from the PlayStation Store," reads a post on the support forums.

"This has been reported to our network team for investigation. Please keep an eye on this thread for updates."

The PlayStation Network hasn’t had a great time of it over the last week. Thelaunch of PlanetSide 2 didn’t go as smoothly as planned as players complained about not being able to access the live servers, while DRIVECLUB PS Plus Edition was pulled after Evolution Studios’ released the free edition of its driving game too early.

I had this problem! I messed around with my internet settings (a lot) and everything seems to be fine now. But damn I knew it couldn't have been me.

I did wonder why Planetside 2 has taken near 8 hours to download 5gb out of 10 gb, it's still not finished. I downloaded MGS the other week and it too all of 30 minutes.

Download speeds in germany are somewhat cripples since forever. It took me 3 days (!) in march to download Bloodborne, despite 200 Mbit/s network. It works fine every now and then, but tends to be slow at nearly all times. Good to hear they're doing something about it though.

yea, I have donwloadspeed issues aswell, these days I seem to get ~400KB/s, before it easily maxed out my ~1.4MB/s connection

Glad that they are working on it - I hate when a network is down or slow :(!

The game was laggy as hell on PC, I can't imagine how it is on consoles.

Huh, are they sure it was just EU?

I am in NA and I downloaded the DriveClub PS+ Edition last night. It was taking a while so I checked my downloads list:
