Why?  care to explain?

That is actually the opposite of the reality.

To bring Xbox to everything is like bringing OSX to everything. Consoles should remain closed

Let's see what kind of value they retain as x1 only. The backlash from the 10+M of x1 buyers and if this is the cop out we predicted from MS leaving console bussiness when x1 failed to gain traction abroad.

Honestly how can anyone be against pc getting more games? its a good thing for all those that dont own a Xbox One.

Tough choices are most likely phones. Elop is gone, phones are probably next. They are not making any headway, most phones they sell are budget, their strategy was to increase WP share, but that is going nowhere.

And I still do think that XOne is their last console, and with the new wave of all games releasing on PC as well, the support for the console will dwindle in the upcoming years. They will not do a Nintendo and stop support abruptly, but there will be no gen9 for Microsoft.

Tough choices as in our games will be shared

The tough choices but is Microsoft wide... its nothing to do with gaming.

This isnt a gaming annoncement.  Its a MIcrosoft corporation announcement.

Gotcha. 😎

Why?  If by converging devices more comes to a console owner.... how is this bad?

Devices are converging.  Dedicates closed systmes are ultimatly doomed.  Its rather obvious.

Well certainly Apple isnt doomed and even before they had the Iphone. More comes to console owners but i gurentee you the xbox experience will get a lot worse if it shares the same OS made for everything.

The Xbox One OS right now is inferior to th PS4 because Sonys OS is designed for their console alone

It will get even worse if the Xbox gets a real OS made for everything.

Probably true, no logical point for a future xbox console.

A large portion of Android phones sold are budget phones as well. Frankly, having budget phones is something MS should have done from the start. Their situation would be better if they did. There should have also been budget Vaio PCs, am I right?

I still think the gap between home console and PC is getting smaller. I'm pretty sure MS will having an Xbox product next gen and it will compete with Playstation and Nintendo. Will it just be a PC though? Who knows.
