Nope, it's way less open to casual players than Xenoblade, so reviews will slay him.

The crazy story and power of the monado made the first one great. The story here looks interesting but not as interesting as the first one. You can't beat a world that is made of two beings. I will like it I know that but I just don't think it will be as much as the first.

Thanks to other awesome games this year and the time it is coming out I know it will be scored lower.

Nope. Even if it's a better game. The expectations are higher.

The gaming previews have been less than favourable so I will say: HELL NO

I have heard really good impressions from some and less than stellar from a few others. In the case if Kotaku, they had a low opinion of the first Xenoblade so that didn't surprise me. Another thing to consider is that many impressions we are hearing in the west are based off people playing it who are far from fluent in Japanese. That kinda ruins any sophisticated critique of story or quest context. I am going to wait until we have more information before saying it will or won't score over 92.

somewhere between 86-90 would be fine. creating a character on an RPG seems a big task to ensure that the character you've created makes the story evolve around you. which XCX is not, i assume. more on earthlings staying on a new planet where the aliens knew their new location. so let's see. i'm fine having a lower score for XCX, it doesn't mean it is a bad game.
