The N3DS is just a redesign of a 2011 portable tho, it's not comparable to an entirely new home console.

Tbh even though they said they'd do stage shows for hardware I doubt they'd do one for NX, I think we'll get an official announcement months before E3 and then the digital even will focus on NX mainly with Zelda and SMT#FE as the U's swan song and the last releases for the 3DS as I can see NX being a fusion like platform.

The current format they use for E3 is fine as they have more control and less likelihood of any technical issues, the Treehouse can then focus on the last Wii U and 3DS game as well as have a better look at the new platform.

well Iwata did say he didn't attend this years E3 because they didn't have any new hardware to show so I'm guess they will have a conference next year even though I would rather have a Digital event instead.

Live on stage, but it won't be at E3. My guess is that it will be first shown sometime between January-May 2016.

I don't think so. They stated having huge E3 events (Smash Bros. invitational and NWC's) in the same place they had their press conferences.

I would like it if they had a traditional event for the NX reveal, but I got a feel they will do a Digi event for it too, which won't be bad either, but a traditonal show would be better.

Thats a revison more or less for convenience and (so far) one exclusive game. Hardly new hardware I'm the general sense (with a huge library of games exclusive to it).
