Chibi might not work but in the style of Nomura's original designs or at least in his artistic style?

I thought what they had in the game was pretty good to be honest. From this alone you found out about Sephiroth's origins without deliving into it too much. Zack was very unimportant.

A fully fledged dating sim system. I want to be able to date Yuffie/Tifa/Aerith/Cid and take them to a love hotel!!
It would also be cool to have a new girl added to the game. Like we could have Elena join the party as an optional character!!! We could also change her clothes (less is more).

1 - Follow the original story!
2 - Keep the original battle system (no stupid battle system similar to open world games like Wolrd of Warcraft, this ruined the series for me)
3 - Keep a visual style that is in line with the original (obviously with more details/polygons etc.
.... I would probably even like pre-rendered backgrounds like in the old days (obvislly again rendered at an high enough resolution with with up to date assets)
and KEEP the music intact!
... voice overs or sub titles? though choice....
