Splatoon will end up outselling Titanfall
imo

But from today on, it's not anymore.
Titanfall made it to a mil in 2 weeks? Dang, good job to that game... It's so weird, and nice to see Splatoon join those ranks.
Dance my pretties!

On a console with an install base of around 10 million, with the new IP game releasing mid-year (not exactly a strong sales period), from a company renowned for making games that sell for a long time rather than selling a lot in the first week... it's a very solid result.
At the rate it's selling in Japan, at least, it's probably going to make it to 2 million before the holidays. It's practically guaranteed 2 million by the end of the year, and could conceivably make it to 3 million by then. It's kind of silly to be responding to this, especially given the list provided, by saying "is that all?".

on wikipedia, metacritic, it says its an action game. No where even says its an shooter |
Well, according to MetaCritic "Grim Fandango Remastered", "Broken Age", "Syberia" and "Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy" are all third-person-shooters... should we really trust their judgment?

People seem to be taking the exact opposite reaction to this thread. I don't see this as some slight to Splatoon but rather that it is among a small family of games that have these results.
is it so hard to read the thread title of a thread you read and chose to enter?
