They need to do that with every collector edition. I'm soooo happy about it (thanks for pointing it out by the way, did not see it before). I pre-ordered it but I would have also bought the digital version.

Weird. It's for collectors, isn't it? You know who likes physical games on their shelves at home? Collectors!

You are spending 250 bucks in a collector´s item.

Why would you need a piece of plastic that is one of half a million copies that demands that it be in disk trail in order to you to play the game?

If you realy a Halo fan you shouldn´t care about that nuisance.

I'm not usually puting my game disk on shelves, even from a collector edition .... :)
And in case of Halo, it is really the statues and other items that we want.

But it's not a game CE now.  It's just a statue.

Don't know about other game collectors but I collect games and game CEs, I don't have random boxes with just a statue mixed with my other... you know... games.

Now, I'm sure I'm not the only one to get collector edition for the goodies and not to put the game disk on shelve :)
Bascially the price I'm (or you are) paying is effectively for the statues and other things. CE also include some in-game addons too etc...

For the game itself, everything can be digital, it does not matter to me. I would not go on my shelve and pick the disk along the statues and other collectible everytime I want to play it.

I can definitely understand that it does not bother you tho but it not the case of everybody.
