The quotes from Reggie that really piss me off are the ones like this:
“So what happened with Wii U? Once the software came that showcased the capabilities of the system, guess what happened? The hardware took off.”
“I think it began holiday of 2013 as we prepped those launches that gave us some momentum. Then Mario Kart 8 hit, then it was Smash. I think it really was holiday of ’13, when we started to get the momentum.”
Really Reggie? The hardware "took off?" Took off to where exactly? From complete and utter disaster to slightly less utter disaster? Just makes him sound oblivious to reality.

Iwata just keeps saying he's sorry, all three put together don't make for an impressive display right now but I don't blame them with the situation they're in and all the flack they've taken lately. I never liked Reggie and have been quite vocal about it all the time, but Shigsy and Iwata are still good in my book, Miyamoto simply doesn't seem to know any better but Reggie does and that makes him kind of a tool and he's really underestimating the intelligence of Nintendo fans lately with his statements and attitude. |
Indeed the bolded Mummel-San. Comments such as "What's wrong with you?" generally do not resonate well with the canvases and can often incite disdain.

from my understanding, Miyamoto's involvement in these projects* doesn't require his active participation or decision making skills.
I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt and say that this was either lost in translation or he just walked in to check if the new Starfox was realistic or not.
