Mehh... If it werent for the Awful Spider-Man reboot, Spider-Man would still be would be on top together with the Dark Knight trilogy or at least with Iron Man films.

He is attached to the film entry in the recent Spider-Man films that did not match its predecessors.

With new Sony/Marvel deal apparantly Marvel could as well have a saying in who ends up as Peter Parker, so maybe there were discussions of changing the guy.

The story needed a younger Peter Parker.
