tech wise the XB1 version is far superior to the 360 version in pretty much every aspect, but it just seems to lack the artistic direction of the original - the game has been mocked for it's grey/brownish look, yet the more colorful look of the ultimate edition feels a bit weird in context with the game's setting

It played really smooth and looked nice to me but this site likes to spin everything.

Then leave the site if it bothers you so much.

Just pointing out the obvious, The game was great, First day buy, Played smooth and by far on of the best multi-player games of all time.

Quite this. The game is way better technically and this is something nobody can argue, it's obvious. Whether you like the new art design is a totally subjective thing though but in the context of the thread title this game has not been downgraded. The term was and is used if graphics have to be dialed back to make the game happen and this does not apply here.

I foresee a strong PC community with this one. Tomb Raider mp still going strong because people are hankering for a TPS on PC.

I'm calling fake here. There's no way the XB1 version looks that bad.
