Porn is everywhere,

I thought you were gonna make some good argument why there should be more porn, but you start with a false statement. No porn is not everywhere, unless you mean sexualization, that we have enough in games, and it is not the same as porn.

If you think porn is everywhere, my god you must be roaming porn sites 24/7. I say seek help and get out more.

I don't have anything against sex in games. Not at all, I even think they make them more realistic (if the theme of the game is appropriate).
But a game centered around porn would be.... boring probably. Doubt you could ask full price for that at retail, but they might find success as being digital games.

I'll pose the question again:

Can anybody think of a gameplay sequence using modern controllers (not VR/AR) in which sex can be performed in a way that is actually interesting and not just "Press A to Thrust"? While I have nothing against the idea of porn games, if you move past the idea there is nothing left. The reason we don't have more porn games, or even more interactive sex scenes, is because we do not currently have the means of making these sequences work.

What are you talking about? Rotating the control sticks during the God of War sex scenes totally turned me on.

You should play Fahrenheit and not let Tiffany go from Kane's apartment without kissing her first.

"I don't like it so therefore it shouldn't exist"

Nice discussion guys :D

How many watches porn? What is the big deal if porn became slightly interactive? It's still porn.
Go for it. There will absolutely be a market for it.

Well, is "press a to thrust" just a general example?  During the scenes themselves, what could be done is having specific buttons do certain things.  Like changing hand position, changing overall position.  The sequences themselves don't have to be the main aspect of the game though.  Something that could be done is having the main game be more about the dating aspect, with the sequences being as interactive and as fun as possible.  Basically imagine Persona, except without dungeons (and not in High School) and instead having hot dates.

Being fun to play or intuitive to play wouldn't be the issue with the sex scenes.  It would be if that was the main focus, but you're probably intending to have a different kind of fun in that situation.

What is the point in including a gameplay segment that is neither fun nor interesting nor intuitive?

As for your gameplay example, I don't think it works very well. Have you ever played one of those porn flash games on Newgrounds? Thats pretty much what you just described. It isn't fun, it isn't interesting and it certainly isn't intuitive. Those tend to get away with the lack of intuitiveness by putting all of the buttons on the screen, but asking the player to learn a whole new set of buttons for a few minutes of sex doesn't really work very well and it isn't meaty or interesting enough to be a large segment of a game. Games already have issues with control over a character and during sex, control over a character is all that matters. You would need an extremely specific control setup that was extremely precise to give the player any degree of agency...

Because there's different types of fun.

Go on...what type of fun does your situation present, and in what way is that fun increased by the interactive nature of video games?
