Why would people be so pissed off about the Metroid game though? It's obviously a spinoff, and Metroid games have had spinoffs before. And it wasn't long ago we had a string of Metroid games come out. I thought people wanted Nintendo NOT to milk franchises.

Or is it a thing of Metroid and Zelda are pretty much the franchises mostly mature they have nowadays(as in within Nintendo's primary first party studios)?

They'll obviously make a new Metroid one day, I just don't see the rage because they announced a spin-off. And the people who made a petition for it not to be made seem childish and petty as hell.

That Animal Crossing game tho...lol.

I'm more pissed off about Animal Party as I wanted a proper Animal Crossing title...
I'm not that upset about the Metroid title, as it at the very least suggests that Metroid still has a future...
The negativity surrounding Other M and cancellation of the NLG project made things look bleak for a little while...

Both.
The first (Federation Force) for being like a cheap excuse to fans for "not having any plans for a new Metroid game"
The second (Amiibo Party) for being a cheap cash-in on amiibos, treating amiibos exactly the opposite way they´re were supposed to be (and add-on and not a mandatory acessory for a game)

animal crossing, only because when it first showed, it looked like a wonderful HD world, only to follow up with a board game....

at least when they showed metroid, it looked bad from the start, even though its not metroid.

"Federation Farce" had me raving, and I don't care for "Animal Crossing" games. I do feel bad for fans of that series, though. At least the Metroid spin-off looks fun...

What string of Metroid games? We haven't had a new one for 5 years.

Metroid definitely made me more upset mainly because I'm a fan of Metroid and not so much Animal Crossing.

Also, I know how long it has been since fans have seen a Metroid game and it disappoints me that the Wii U likely won't even see a 2D Metroid where the previous two consoles each had 2 Metroid releases.
