No they don't. They're SUPPOSED to, but they allocate approximately one person to each incubated project, and only after months of delaying. They had one person work on the final PSAS patch which took 10 months to come out and five months of them saying it was coming, before they even started. They had a couple people work slowly on the Twisted Metal patch that made online playable, which took six months. Same for Warhawk, Starhawk, Fat Princess, and so on. They never did any physical work on the thatgamecompany trilogy but their name is listed next to the developer as top billing. Meanwhile they have several people working on microtransactions for God of War Ascension.

So that's no excuse for their lazy output.

Source?

You're asking me to go back about two years on the most active forum on PlayStation's site. I'll try but I can't promise I'll find the two exact posts I'm thinking of. SSM Community manager Just-Tank took over for Clockwerk after SuperBot was taken off of PSAS's development right before Zeus and Isaac released. I was a major player in the movement to get one last DLC pack for the started Dart and Abe characters (I was also a key forum member for the first eight months of the game's life, having posted daily threads to help hype the game). We started the Dart movement in Juneish, and in July they said they'd started a patch. That's where the movement died because fans were happy enough to see the game get fixed. Five months later Tank said they'd gotten one person to start working on it, after previously promising a team. At this point they were still milking Ascension with DLC despite PSAS having a more active server and never once falling below Ascension on monthly PSN sales. A few months later we got our patch.

Tank's a good guy, he relayed all of the concerns to the one dev, and he managed community tournaments I believe to this day, but he works for a garbage company.

I'll try and find specific quotes if I can though.

Edit: found something at least

The Dart petition started June 30 (I know because I started it). After a day SSM mentioned on Twitter "We hear you." In august they promised a patch, and in November they changed their wording and thats around the time we got the confirmation of there being a sole developer. So it was three months of lying and then I believe we finally got confirmation that one guy would start soon after that. Then it took several more months.

You should check out my YouTube channel, The Golden Bolt!  I review all types of video games, both classic and modern, and I also give short flyover reviews of the free games each month on PlayStation Plus to tell you if they're worth downloading.  After all, the games may be free, but your time is valuable!

Around the Network

Gears of War is only 1.5 years younger than GoW. Still no excuse to steal the abbrevieation.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

They are two excellent series. But I think typically it is easier for a (well put together) RPG franchise to build a deep and wide-ranging fandom, whereas short action titles are at a comparative disadvantage.

God Of War has a big fan following. It can't be compared to Mass Effect since that is a multiplat franchise.
