Forums - Gaming Discussion - "The Last of Us" is better than "walking dead, i'm Legend and the road"

I've played "The Last of Us". Wow, this game is so fascinating. For me personally it is the best game of the West.

The gameplay is awesome, the atmosphere sooo great. The story exciting with great characters. A little bit like Metal Gear Solid - only without Japanese stuffThe feelings are indescribable. Especially when Elli and the main character arrived at the hospital, suddenly came the animals ... in this apocalyptic world. It was... wow. Really. Thats why i play videogames. so incredible < 3

Each house is designed so detailed and beautiful. The world is big and beautiful. It was very exciting, i love this game. Naughty Dog has my respect.

TLOU remember me... "the road" was awesome too. "i'm legend" was okay and "walking dead"..well... its nothing versus the last of us, this is my opinion. I will a resident evil 7 with "The Last of Us"-Gameplay : )

I have questions now:
How many times, "The Last of Us" has sold to date? And how much were the production costs?

I disagree about The Road, though. Both the novel and the movie are magnifique.

Ditto.

It has likely sold around 11 million now. I'm not sure what production costs were, but I can assure you, TLOU was a massively profitable venture for Sony.

According to vg, 5.5 million copies sold on the ps3, a little under three million on the ps4 as of April of this year.

As for production costs, I have no idea.

Well that's your opinion my friend, in my opinion the Road sets a much darker, scarier future and packs a much bigger emotional punch. But yeah tis a good game

It's a masterpiece no doubt. That first playthru is so epic, one of the greatest experiences in gaming.

Yeah, sorry, compared to The Road, TLoU is B-grade stuff.

I have to agree with ya. It's difficult for films to trump the interactiveness in a game. I felt more connected to the characters in TLOU versus those films.

The Road and LOU have a ton of similarities.  Both pack an emotional punch but imo LOU edges out The Road because I felt more attached to characters in LOU (although thats comparing apples to oranges, games to books).  You're right about The Road being a bit more dark because there is absolutely no hope.
