Legend Of Zelda vs Final Fantasy what series is better?

Legend Of Zelda 561 67.03%

Final Fantasy 276 32.97%

Total:837

For me it is Final Fantasy. I have enjoyed more of the offerings from that franchise than I have from LoZ overall.

FF to me. But then again, I could never get into the Zelda franchise and thought the gameplay was too simple and the art style not my taste, so I'm biased.

...Let the Sony Domination continue with the PS4...

I like Zelda much more !

But they also have three of the worst games of all time. Final Fantasy XIII, XIII-2, and Lightning Returns.

And Zelda has Skyward Sword and the CD-i games.

Skyword Sword is amazing, and the CD-i games are not legend of zelda games

What was so amazing about Skyward Sword?  Was it the broken, inconsistent controls?  Oh, I know, it must have been the terrible writing and plot!  Or what about the ridiculous amount of stupid fetch quests to artificially inflate the game's lengh!  Oh!  I know, it must have been the famously annoying Fi!

10/10!

And These are HUGE problems with the game.  terrible controls, stupid plot, dumb characters (They tried to make it serious and give Link a personality and FAILED SO MISERABLY), and the artificial inflation of the game's length by making you bend over backwards for NPC's for bullshit.  "Oh, I know where THE KIDNAPPED FUCKING PRINCESS is, but before I Tell you, you must play hide and seek with me!"  Zelda was well done, but everyone else in the game was just terrible.

im facepalming too hard on this one

The controls work fine. If you have problems with it then I don't know what to tell you. There is a button to callibrate the controller I guess. (Super Pro Tip: You don't need to swing the sword like Link does in the screen. The gyroscope works even with a slight move in the correct direction.)

Dumb characters are a staple of the series (since Ocarina of Time).

I agree with the fetch quests though. They suck.

you do realize that "It works if you stop to calibrate it" is not a point in your favor, right?

Same with the Dumb Characters thing.  Dumb is dumb, this is not acceptable.

I didn't say it works if you stop to calibrate it. It's an option you have in case it's not calibrated. You can also press the down button on the D-Pad to center the gyroscope. Controls worked fine in my 50 hour playthrough, I only had to calibrate at the start of each session (which is mandatory every time you start up the game).

I find it as a minor offense. It's not like Final Fantasy has no dumb characters (in fact, it's full of them).

Skyward Sword wasn't perfect but it isn't the terrible game you are making it out to be.

Well then I just got a shitty version of the game because my WiiMotion Plus had to be recalibrated every ten minutes, both an actual proper controller and one with the dongle add-on.  And even when it was working, it was cumbersome, inconsistent, unreliable, and not fun at all.  I, like most people, sit on a couch or chair when gaming, and that game required you be standing.  I only stand when playing Rock Band/Guitar Hero.

And yes, Final Fantasy had dumb characters, but Final Fantasy also had amazingly deep and well developed characters.  Even the shitty ones everyone hates (Tidus, Squall, Wakka) had phenomenal character arcs that showed them slowly growing into something special.  The writing was better, the characters had better stories, and while there's no denying there were shitty characters, the ratio in Final Fantasy of Good:Bad characters is far better than Zelda.  In Zelda, it's usually Link/Zelda and a handful of others vs ALL THE OTHER CHARACTERS IN THE GAME.  I can't stand going to Kakariko in Ocarina of time, because everyone there's an unlikeable idiot.  I can't listen to that game thanks to NAvi.  Fi was quite possibly the worst character in any video game I've ever played, bar none.

Zelda's quality is far more consistent, you pretty much know exactly what you're going to get with them, but I'd take final fantasy at its best even though its worst is a dumpster fire.

I really don't understand what you are talking about. I played Skyward Sword in my sofa. I think you didn't understand how the Wii Motion Plus worked... at all. As I already said you just need to make a swift movements in the desired direction. It's pretty easy and you don't even need to stand up. You don't even need to point at the screen with the Wii Mote to make it work. You just hold it with your hand and for example do a small upward movement with your wrist and link does the upward attack. And that goes for every direction. You don't need to make the motion that link does (moving your whole arm) you just need to move your wrist.

Well you are comparing stuff that doesn't make sense. Zelda was never about deep characters or a meaningful storyline (and if you did, you don't understand what Zelda is about). But that is normal because the comparision is stupid to begin with. Final Fantasy is a JRPG, Zelda is not even an RPG. I can't find a point where you can compare them, because both are played in such different ways.

Fi and Navi where annoying but I wouldn't call them the worst characters ever. But that is a personal opinion.

As someone who is not a mega fan of either series, I would go with Zelda because from most accounts and from critics it is less of a rollercoaster. Not a good comparison though. You're just going to start a fight between major Zelda fans and major RPG/Final Fantasy fans.
