Forums - Microsoft Discussion - Should I buy an Xbox One now in 2015??

Just be smart. Buy it at the best price with the best possible promo.

Trust me, Microsoft will give away a lot of games and extras on Black Friday.

If you have the extra cash, go right ahead and do it. I have all three consoles, I use Xbox One mainly for exclusives. But I do buy the occasional 3rd party game just to play some co op with friends. I mostly use my PS4 and Wii U though.

I love the controller, but be warned, installs take a bit more time and Kinect isn't all it was cracked up to be. I would go with the kinect-less Xbox, unless you like to chat in parties without a headset as I often do. The video editing suite is better on Xbox One, it also lets you pick several options of time length to record, PS4 only does the fifteen minute option.

Good console, go for it if you have the extra cash as I've mentioned before.

12 months of xbox live cost me about £20 and for that I get games for gold games for 360 and xbox one on that account. Some of them have been great and just like psn plus is amazing value. I paid about £200 for my xbox one and have already got great value out of it just like my ps4 and ps3. There is a small selection of free games on xbox live too and promotions. Just bought elite dangerous for £14 from xbox hungary on early access and it looks to be a dual buy with the windows 10 version at that price.

I guess my point is once you buy the hardware you find you can choose games on the format that gives you the best value compared to other consoles. That's if you don't mind multiple consoles connected to your tv. I always seem to have something great to play even if I don't spend additional money thanks to games for gold and psn plus.

If you want to play XB1 exclusives, I'd say buy one!

Also Microsoft are going to give one game of your choice for free during Batman launch, like they did for Destiny.

I have had my eyes onthe Xbox One console for quite some time now. I had the original Xbox and enjoyed games like Fable, Halo and Conker. Last gen Xbox I barely used it, it was in my closet for most of the years since I've been mostly into PS3 and Wii. Now i have a PS4, Wii U, 3DS and Vita. I don't play my Vita, 3DS I play monthly and I play the PS4 and Wii U on a weekly basis. The reason I'm interested in the Xbox One is because of its collection of games, I'm looking at games such as Fable Legends, Halo Master Cheif Collection, Halo 5, Conker's Big Reuinion, Rare Replay, Gears of War and  possiby other XBox exclusives. I wonder if it's worth it? Even thought I have a PS4.... I don't really know what to do, that's why I'm asking on here.

I'm gonna be honest with you.  Microsoft always on ups its deals in November so wait until then at least.

Wait for Black Friday when you would probably get X1's for the $299.

If you have the time to use all consoles, why not?

Yes. Right now there is a great deal going on which allows you to get any xbox model with 1 free game, including the new Batman. Or wait till the holiday when there will be other great deal. Either way, it's a good buy!

Also if you like physical games. Microsoft Store gives a $10 digital code with every purchase. Season Pass money right there :)

They just came out with a 1TB model for $399.99 but waiting for the holidays will always save you money.
