Sequels...not new IP's. Many forget that Japan had issues last gen following the west in moving into the HD era.

It featured new characters and creatures, new animations for attacks and more blood. The graphics were underwhelming and the main protagonist wasnt very interesting looking unlike Marcus Fenix. It still has my attention as Gears if one of my favorite Xbox franchises of all time.

Only one of the 3 teams working on it is Japanese though, Comcept. MS Studios and Armature are both US based. |
Hmmmmmm.....sounds like MS is desperate to pump this game out of the mill. They are pulling an Assassins Creed development process. They are going to try to make up for lost years with manpower.
That seems like enough time, not seeing the issue here.

My main complaints.
1. Graphics was underwhealming. Yes. Other animations looked good but at first I thought they added a new character in ultimate edition.
2. Same old corridor shooting. Gameplay didnt showed any sign of refinement. I was expecting more.
3. Took away the mini game of reloading. Yes. They took it away.

I am sure the animations will be back for the minigame, but they were showing setpiece gameplay at E3. There will probably be more at Gamescoms because they are having another conference over there and there will be no there at all.

No, it's just that Comcept and Armature aren't very big, neither is big enough to develop a AAA game by themselves. Armature had 30 devs at last count, and I think Comcept has around the same number. Most AAA games require at least 100 devs, so that is why 3 different teams are working on it I assume. We don't know how big the MS Studios team working on it is, could be huge, but I find that unlikely. The total dev team size between the 3 studios is likely in the neighborhood of 100-150 devs. |
Exactly, which is why I said the Assassins Creed process, which denotes manpower over the primary company just spending years creating the core of the game themselves.
Well that explains why it was only a CGI trailer

Same thing with scalebound, but I am sure we will be seeing that at Gamescom.
