Zelda U will absolutly be on the NX. There is no doubt in my mind.

In Nintendo's opinion, WiiU's only woe that followed it for it's entire lifespan was to launch with no killer titles. So Nintendo will want to launch NX with Zelda and they think it will fixe everything and everything will once again be allright in the magical world of Nintendo.

Don't you understand that NX is NOT COMING NEXT YEAR, I think a person with brain could see that, don't you think?

And tell me why? They announced the project this year, and confirmed already that it will be showed next year. Why can't they officialy show the system at E3 next year and launch the system the same year? Why is that impossible when we know Sony did the same thing two years ago for the PS4, same thing with Mycrosoft (altho it revealed the system at gamescom). Nintendo also did the same thing for the Wii.

So the fact of launching a game only months after revealed is not unheard of. The WiiU is clearly dead and Nintendo has everything to gain from launching this game as soon as possible. I can't say for sure it will happen (the same thing you can't say for sur it won't), but if they don't launch the NX next year, they will do the same thing as they did with the Wii, let their console die in a barren of games, leaving a bitter taste of dust in the console owners' mouth as their last impression of the system.

You really ignorant, I don't care if sony or microsoft wants to reveal their consoles in the same year, Nintendo is not like that.
And what the wii?  They talked about it in 2004, THEN they showed it in e3 2005 but it didn't launch or did it?, AND RELEASED IN 2006 FOR GOD SAKE, 3 YEARS, and thats what is happening to nx, so please stop talking nonsense con investgate a little more

The Mario Kart producer is overseeing development of mobile games, but I am pretty sure that that is a separate department. The Mario Kart team isn't the one that is making mobile games.

But I give up on the rest and concede defeat, because if we can't agree on the launch timing of new hardware (moreso the how than the when), then we'll be talking in circles anyway. In October we should get a lot of details on Nintendo's new membership service and maybe some NX tidbits, but it's more probable that we'll have to wait until January for some more NX information.

Yikes, you think we won't hear about it until October? I was hoping a little sooner than that. Maybe September. Did they say anything to suggest a time period other than 'later this year'? I don't recall.

I was also thinking we probably wouldn't get any details on NX until March or April. Either GDC or an investor's meeting. Could be January though, they have an investors meeting then too.

Konno has been directly involved in the development of every Mario Kart game to date. If he is too busy to do that then either that team is making something else (something low maintenance) or they have assigned someone new to the role. It would be like Aonuma being given that job without a successor being identified for Zelda.

That's from the last Q&A session with investors where Iwata specifically said October. But since Club Nintendo runs out in September, I suppose it's possible that the new membership service will go live on October 1st, and what happens in the next investors meeting in late October is detailing the strategy that concerns this service and how it expands beyond dedicated Nintendo hardware.

Yeah, it's unlikely that they'll talk more about NX this year, because news about that spreading could have a negative effect on this holiday season's sales performance.

I don't think all personnel shifts within Nintendo are announced. It's very unlikely that Konno is tasked with overseeing mobile development through at least March 2017 while there's nobody to fill his previous role. Or he does both jobs because the role of a producer doesn't have much direct involvement in the daily development of games, but rather it's about issuing orders and watching that development goes along smoothly. In that case he would be going back and forth between two different departments. Before his promotion, the Mario Kart team was the same that also worked on the Nintendogs titles, so it's not like he can only be producer of one game at any given time. The position of director is the one that is more focused on a single title.

Legend11 correctly predicted that GTA IV (360+PS3) would outsell SSBB. I was wrong.

Aye, but if previously he was producing 1-2 games at a time then it would be weird for him to now be producing 6 or more games at once, right?

Not really. Given his experience and the scale of the mobile games, it isn't as big of a step up as the increase in number of games suggests. Overseeing a few groups of several people each shouldn't be that taxing in addition to working on one or two bigger projects. After all, once upon a time Shigeru Miyamoto moved up from director to producer to overseeing even more games. I mean, if you work for a company for a long time and have at least some ambition, you would be grateful for getting the trust to take on more responsibility.

I'm sure people have pointed this out. But at that time we knew the Revolution was coming out in 2006 since Nintendo had already announced the Revolution was releasing in 2006. At that time we had also seen the console at E3 no games just the console announcements.

Here we don't have any of that we know that it exists, but no launch date or window, no sightings of the console, just pure speculation and old rumors.

I'm not going to say a port of it will not be made but it will not be a Twilight Princess where the one that wasn't suppose to exist comes out before the one that was announced. For that to happen the game would have to be pushed back to 2017, and I don't think Nintendo would delay it that much. (I'm still going with 2017 if the NX is a home console since for the NX to come out next year Nintendo would need to have the "proof of concept" showing between now and TGS. This is something that Nintendo has never deviated from. (The proof of concept showing use to be done at their Spaceworld show, but after the Gamecube's announcement they haven't had a Spaceworld and opted to do the announcments at E3.

Zelda comes out on Wii U. Simple as that.

The first NX hardware is going to be a New 3DS successor.

Nintendo doesn't care about Wii U numbers as long as they can sell Amiibo to Wii U owners like nothing.

And - it is technically possible to make the Wii U a NX console as NX is a platform and not a single piece of hardware.

And we don't have launch window, official gameplay, official trailer and name for Zelda HD, so?

Well we know it is coming out in 2016 and NX isn't.
