They are doing their next big conference at Paris Games Week, it'll be announced then, which is in October so for November and therefore Christmas. It will be an official pricecut, lowered to £300, 300EUR. You can get it for less than this now though.

Where? Seriously if you know where I can get a PS4 for less than 300Euro (or at 300) then tell me. I´ll make a fortune reselling those.

Sorry, should have been more specific, less than £300 (UK prices). I forget the price is euros isn't the same as the pound.

Hmm, pie.

They will announce a $50 pricecut just in time for the holidays so probably at the end of October. Or a smarter thing to do is give the PS4 a pricecut the same day Halo 5 releases.

If they are waiting so long to do a drop it's 100, not 50... It'll be 24 months since release, 50 is something you expect earlier and if they skipped that then they're going for a bigger cut in order to have an even bigger effect.

$100 is too much. They want the PS4 to be sold at profit, and don't want to just breakeven on each unit. Plus, its only the PS4's third year. $299 after 2 years is too fast of a price drop.

Gamescom or PGW seems likely to me now. TGS is a bit too late I think. They will likely want to get it before Black Friday. I honestly thought we were going to see one at E3 but I guess Sony felt comfortable enough not to. The batman bundle should do well. Has a Sony console ever gone through its first two years without a price drop?

PGW (27th of october) is more than a month after TGS (17th of september)

and I still think PGW is the most likely conference to announce a price drop - they don't have a media briefing at gamescom, so it's pretty certain they won't cut the price there (ofc Sony will be a big exhibitor at that convention anyway), unless something drastic happens

Ooops!  I got TGS mixed up with some other event in December for some reason.  Maybe the PlayStation Experience?  Anyway, I think you're right in that PGW is most likely.

If it continues to sell like this and Sony is making profit, they really don't have any reason to cut the price. Maybe next year

Agreed.

Most likely at the Paris Game Show. Sony generally does well heading into September. That and TGS on the way with big games to showcase, such as Tales of Besearia, it isn't out of the question entirely.
