Forums - Gaming Discussion - Will Rise of the Tomb Raider be a commercial flop this fall?

I predict that Uncharted Nathan Drake Collection will outsell Tomb Raider XOne by a decent margin.

On it's own, not very well. But I'm sure it will be bundled in black Friday or in December, so it will look a lot better.

Yes, I see Microsoft doing a Tomb Raider bundle to force sales.

All I realize is that nobody is talking about Tomb Raider anymore.

I think the Fallout deal is really going to hurt.

yes because games were what sold it last year....

It had nothing to do with the fact it was 150 dollars cheaper than you could get it the previous Christmas. Sunset OD, Forza Horizon sold pretty poorly, it definitly was not those games moving the consoles. MCC sold okay.

That said Halo 5 will move consoles. I suspect many Halo 5 (the most dececated XBOX fans) have already upgraded, but if they havent they will for Halo 5.

Unless MS drops the price again they will be lucky to match last year (which would still be really really good sales).

Is that a bad thing? Is every game that gets bundled a forced sale?

Multi-Platform release would guarantee a lot of PS4 pre-orders. Now PS4 owners can wait and see, depending on reviews this could actually bomb.

I cannot imagine toilet-free life.

Kebabs have a unique attribute compared to other consumables. To unlock this effect you need to wolf down a big ass kebab really fast, like under 10 minutes or so and wait for the effect to kick in. If done correctly your movements should feel unbelievably heavy to the point where you literally cannot move at all.

It may not pull off planet busting sales, but Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix should be satisfied with the good sales that will ensue.

Since Microsoft is funding the game, I don't see how square enix is going to suffer. That is why Microsoft is the publisher.

Yes.   Even the Last of Us and most definitly Ass Creed.   The thing is Tomb Raider would be sent out to die against Fallout 4.  It would be destroyed.  Therefore, you can bundle it.
