I am sorry for not being one of those type of nintendo fans.
Hope you don't have to buy the games twice. If the next system is great, really don't think they care how many fans they will lose, more people people will buy it.
Why are people so surprised and can't believe the next console will be released in 2016? The Wii U is selling really bad. There won't be *any* home console business for Nintendo in 2017 if they don't release the next console. The original Xbox also had a 4 year life span and people didn't mind. Remember guys, late 2016 is still 1.5 years away. Things will feel very different late next year.
And Reggie specifically said "Our next console, NX, which we'll be talking about in 2016" at the Digital Event.

it may be on a similar level then both others but use ARM chip which will make porting difficult. It will have bad tools foe developer.
Nintendo wont bring an old franchises bag als we love them but will build th ultimative amiibo cash mashine. Every game will have amiibo features and co.

Well it sounded like they were going down something like the popularly imagined "Fusion" route with "NX"... and if they were doing that I don't think it would be a good idea to plan to release handheld and home console versions too far apart. So even if the "NX handheld" was coming first, say 2016, the "NX home console" shouldn't be far behind, so 2017 at latest. That fits the timetable of a game that takes 2-3 years development starting now to end up on NX home console, and also means that they would be talking about it next year.
Haven't enough people been shafted by Nintendo handhelds? There were people who purchased a 3DS, days later the N3DS gets announced and released shortly after. There were people who bought the N3DS ........ See where this is going?
No its not confirmed, Reggie didn't mention NX and Kensuke Tanabe didnt mentioned home console.

Because people think that Nintendo can't prepare launch of new home console in 2016. and prepare games for it if they dont wont to have similar problems like Wii U, bad and small launch titles and software drought in first year.
Nobody ever said specifically that NX is home console, talking doesnt mean launch in 2016.
