Slarvax said: Man. Was the NX announced in the background somewhere? Yes, you are the only one. Besides emotional and personal reasons, if Zelda U is ported to the NX, it would need to start over development of the game, meaning another delay, meaning tons of cash burned and tons of fans pissed. |
Like Twilight Princess? A game ready to be launched on November 2005 but delayed a full year to launch on Wii?

Counterargument: this is Nintendo. The same Nintendo that decided to do from Animal Crossing a board game and from Prime a multiplayer chibi shooter. |
So your point behind making this bad decision is because Nintendo has made other bad decisions?....

Of course. I don't think Zelda HD will be NX exclusive, I think it will be cross gen. But saying this move is stupid and because of that Nintendo will never do is something that is far from reality.

I still don't see it... I don't get the point with the art style and graphics available. To have another Zelda game at launch? But if it has backwards compatibility again what would be the point? Twilight Princess was to have motion controls, so there was a point. Maybe if there is some crazy new innovation with the NX, and they feel LoZ would be a good start to show the innovation off...

I'm pretty sure if this is Fusion they will use to show us how they will look like in the handheld hardware and how it will scale on the homeconsole line.

"I can't help but think that it would be better if Zelda Wii U did release on NX. I just think that Nintendo could make the game better if they made it for NX (assuming NX has significantly higher graphical capacity than Wii U)."
Nintendo has had a hard enough time developing games on 7th gen level hardware. A more powerful piece of tech won't really make a big difference in terms of Nintendo's own development. Nintendo still hasn't pushed the Wii U to its limits. Not one Wii U game looks better than the best looking PS3/360 games.

Hey, my personal take is it would be a bad pointless decision.Doesn't mean Nintendo WON'T do it, but I don't think it needs another delay for practically no reason.
SJReiter said: I see that most Nintendo fans have said things along the line of "if Nintendo releases Zelda Wii U on NX it will be a major betrayal of my trust." I understand the frustration of buying a console expecting a game only to have that game release on another console, but I can't help but think that it would be better if Zelda Wii U did release on NX. I just think that Nintendo could make the game better if they made it for NX (assuming NX has significantly higher graphical capacity than Wii U). Also, since I'm a huge Nintendo fan I know I'll be buying NX anyway, so I figure it might as well have the best Zelda experience ever (hopefully). I don't know, what do you guys think. Would it really be so awful if the new Zelda released on NX? Note: the same point stands if it's cross-gen, as the NX version would likely be superior. |
don't know if it will happen. it would surely be called Zelda NX not a Zelda Wii U game for sure if it is for NX.

I agree that Zelda HD is not exactly the better software to showcase the (probably) new abilities, but they are desperate. Well, anyone will be in their shoes. While I'm in rage mode, I can't blame them trying to generate more hype for their next hardware line.
