I vote that Reggie keeps his placement in Nintendo for a lifetime. His comments and the reactions are always comedy gold.

I wonder how much Reggie gets paid to keep digging holes.

He doesnt do that for money but because he can
Because he is not the guy they deserve, but the one they need right now. So he will be bashed, because he can take it.

Predictions for end of 2014 HW sales:

 PS4: 17m   XB1: 10m    WiiU: 10m   Vita: 10m

Eh, he is more like the guy Nintendo deserves but REALLY not the one they need.

If this keeps up, fans are going to end up rioting outside NoA.

wtf is he doing?

First:

“We focus on the here and now,” says Fils-Aimé. “We’re not like other players in the space that might show a little bit of something that is going to be years in the making. It’s simply because we believe that in getting the fan base excited, we really want to satiate that excitement as soon as possible."

^ this is easy to say if you dont have anything to hype more than a year out.

The fact Sony can do this shows commitment is there years into the future.

It sounds like nintendo moved resources to develope for the next consol.

Then a few hours lateron:

"It was not an apology,"
"It was not a statement about the content we're showing, essentially it was an 'I hear you' message."

"Mr. Iwata is in Japan and what he's trying to do is help explain to consumers in Japan what's going on at E3," he said. "The correct translation of his message was: 'Thank you for your feedback. We hear you and we are committed to continuing to meet your expectations,' was essentially his message.

"Splatoon is a game that people are loving right now, but if you rewind to E3 last year, Splatoon was being viewed as, 'Yes, it's innovative and it's different, but the controls are a little hard and I don't understand the mechanic of turning into a squid and going through the ink.' There were all of these complaints. But now you look at the finished product and the satisfaction is huge."

^ this sounds like:
The problem is you, the consumers dont understand our greatness..... yes reggie, we hear you.

"Many fans reacted with vitriol, either disappointed with what wasn't said, or with what was. Nearly 12,000 fans signed a petition on Change.Org to try and convince Nintendo not to continue developing one of the newly announced games: Metroid Prime: Federation Force." - http://www.polygon.com

The problem is I dont think he heard us, the consumers.

Nintendo's official youtube account... the dislikes speak volumes of how disappointed the fans are.

The petition to cancel that Metroid game on the 3DS is an even better display of fan anger.
