Why not get both?

I'd be really surprised if anybody just had a wiiu. I certainly haven't met anyone in real life fitting that description.

Companies lie. What else is new.

While this is about Nintendo let's remember that no matter who or what we support in this crazy industry we've all been lied to, frequently. And this industry is no better or worse than any other.

Perhaps some people have misled themselves into believing Nintendo is different, so this might be a wake up for them. But they are only seeing a truth that's been out there from the beginning.

Meh, PS4 does not impress me.

I bet half of the games they did show off will be pushed back to post E3 2016.

Either he's lost it and by extension Nintendo has too... Or there saving the games for their future platform.

^ this.

If you cant think or talk big picture more than a year into the future, either something is wrong or your holding back, not saying things for sales reasons.

Well, he's not lying entirely. Just look at Splatoon. Announced last year, and released the next.

Super Mario 3D World: Announced and released the same year.
Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze: Announced June 2013 and released the next year
Mario Kart 8: Revealed in June 2013 and released the following year.
Smash Bros for Wii U and 3DS: Revealed officially at June 2013 and released the next year.
Mario Maker: Announced last year and is being released this year.
Star Fox Zero: Announced last year and releasing this year.

So he is not entirely wrong. X was planned in 2014, the end of last year, but was delayed, and was released in Japan already. Zelda was announced Zelda U was in development in Jan 2013, and then shone in 2014 with a plan for 2015. It got delayed. It happens.

So there is some truth to this.

But Wii U does?

sony wins their console sales based on hype. that is how you sell stuff. You need to make people want your future titles in the making. that is how gamers buy hardware.

Even Reggie knows this.... the reason he cant say that, is because saying "guys relax, its all good, we re just working on the next consol and its games", is because that would hurt the Wii U sales.

Its also the reason he cant say "look guys we have more games for the Wii U planned more than a year out".  Beause its not true.

I dont think your allowed to make public statements of misinformation on behalf of a company for sales reasons.

The only thing he can say is "relax guys, we just dont want to hype you guys up, with things yet far off".

This is basically him indirectly saying the Wii U is giveing way to the Next nintendo consol.

As a true Nintendo fan you must like the Wii U. So, duh.

Actually Zelda Wii-U was kind of announced back in 2011 with that tech demo. You now the one with graphics quality that was never achieved.
