Forums - Sony Discussion - Why are people not angry about Vita?

Nobody really cares for the poor thing. I don't think anyone was expecting much from Vita.

1. USA is the worst country for PS Vita. PS Vita usually get all announcements at the Tokyo Game Show.
2. It is normal at E3 that developer focus more on home consoles than handhelds.
3. PS Vita is getting World of Final Fantasy (visit my thread) which is a very big AAA game. Wii U got no big game announcement. PS Vita had a better E3 than Wii U imo (IMO IMO IMO!!! Don't ban me, it is MY OPINION!!!).

as someone already said before the expectations for a console are gonna be much higher than that of a portable especially a non Ninty one. Outside of Japan most people dont care.

Me personally i never put that much stock in portables i only ever buy a few games for each device anyway. PSP was the only handheld system i ever got and bought games for it like i did the consoles. Hell i only bought 6 3ds games since i got the system in 2012 and if i never buy another game for it again. i would be fine.

IMHO Sony fans are more willing to accept and are less emotional that Ninty fans. I know thats gonna piss people off but going by just this site we saw thread after thread of Wii U e3 topics. 90% not positive and most of it were from Ninty fans themselves. Vita barely gets mentioned anywhere

Edit: i was actually shocked that World of FF was coming to Vita thats something i would get for the system. I still have backlog of games i have to play. Person4 again, Dragon's Crown, Killzone actually has an active community for that game. So it wasnt all bad for me.

The majority of vita purchasers currently are solely dependant on third party japanese games.
Nobody expects sony to release big games for Vita, and in fact over a year ago said they would not be making any more AAA games for the west on Vita. It is what it is.

However, the third party Japan dev support is amazing, and it's exactly what I expected from the Vita when I bought it.

Not to make fun of the vita, but it has been quite dead for a long time (except for niche japanese games). Anger comes with disappointed hopes. If people were expecting AAA, and they were disappointing, you'd see hate threads. Also people could be angry if the Vita had any chance to just be significant, and failed its E3. Also no game is not as bad for a fan than a disappointing game (not that I'm saying Metroid is disappointing, I'm not even curious enough to see a video of it).

Vita owners are mad...  well they were mad 2 years ago. Well with me, I'm selling my Vita to help me save up for an Xbox One.
