PS4 and PC here.

Who ever buys an XBoxOne this holiday is investing in a dying device.

Microsoft is moving on. Windows 10 is their new focus.

Does your PS4 know you cheat on it with PC? :P

Xbox: Best hardware, Game Pass best value, best BC, more 1st party genres and multiplayer titles.

I find it shocking how people don't seem to realize how will claims like these are. Its like saying, Microsoft is walking outta making dedicated gaming hardware and is going to try and turn Xbox into steam on windows 10.

OK, cool... And so what? Good for MS. But there will always be a need for dedicated gaming consoles. I just don't believe that if everyone does what they are supposed to do; that the console market is big enough for 3 major players.

Not so fast jimmy...

Xbox One is becoming a Windows 10 based PC and is not dying by any means. Also I can pick Xbox One up for $299 here in Canada with Halo MCC. PC with the specs of Xbox One will cost you as much as the Xbox One if not more.

Also is Sony having any must play exclusives this holiday season that you need to give them 400 bucks? Why not wait til Uncharted 4 hits or price cut is in effect?

Please define "must play exclusives" if you may. I was under the impression different people had different tastes.

Besides why only mentioning exclusives? Aren't most games multiplatform?

No, Xbox Live is, but you're on the right track.

So I'm going to play Uncharted 4 on my PC? I'm going to play Horizon on my PC? I'm going to play Bloodborne on my PC? I'm going to play The last Guardian on my PC? No! But I'm going to be able to play Halo 5 on my PC, Gears of War 4 on my PC and Forza 5 on my Pc.

That's overly optomistic. But let's say this is true, it would be when their system selling potential has been all but dried out, and new system sellers will be in the spot light.

This means more money in their pocket, money that Playstation gamers will give them, which is hilarious when you think about it. Like you guys buying Minecraft on Playstation and giving MS your hard earned money ;)

Point is, if/when you do play these games on Windows, your PS4 will be at that time, off. You can only play one thing at a time, and at the time, you will have chosen MS over Sony. Soooooo unfaithful lol

One thing i wonder is if Sony made an Exclusive PC OS for people to essentially build their own PS console to the specs they wanted and supported it with their games plus it could play PC steam games would Sony fans be happy that Sony is supporting their other platform since you still need Sony's OS to play them games or would they be un happy??.

i dont think they do it. I think they will and i would love them if they aprouch it like Apple Macs are, having a closed system with different Computers to choose from.

The PS5 should be two models. One weaker the other stronger and both will be BC with ps4 games, while the PS5 games would be scalable like on PC or Mac so if a new series of sony console come out all your PS5 will run on the better new hardware with better graphics. It should be always like 2 models every 4-5 years.

And unlike apple sony wouldnt overcharge you with their consoles, they make the money from the 15% royalties they get with every playstation game, controllers, project morpheos, playstation plus.

I made a thread back then about it.

Yet the console you so dearly loved, throughout this whole generation will literally be worthless and Microsoft would have given all Xbox fans the middle finger. It's not Xbox One+Windows vs PS4 vs WIIU. It's Xbox One vs Windows vs PS4 vs WII U. I know you're following the tide now that Microsoft is seeing Xbox One and Windows as a unified platform but in the grand scheme of things their foes not friends.

Much like Apple, Microsoft is creating an ecosystem for the Xbox platform that spans multiple devices. Only having to make a single purchase and use the game, app, song, movie etc. is part of what made Apple products so successful. Once you have a person heavily invested into ecosystem, they are not likely to leave. Sony has done the same thing with the PS3, PS4, and Vita. Microsoft is just expanding the Xbox platform to the other devices they support...PC, Surface, Windows phones. In the end it is all pro-consumer.

I honestly wouldn't own a PS4.

I'd be fine with that.

Exactly as you would really have no reason not to be fine with it since you would still be playing them games on a Sony platform and the still would be others that would play them on their PS4's but some people seem to think this would mean sony is losing exclusives when in reality how can you lose exclusives to your own platforms??

From a PC gamers standpoint this is great, but it will lead to a lower sales of a console.
