But...they only had more content than last year because just about everything was ANNOUNCED last year, and even before. There was nothing new. That's the problem a lot of us have. E3 is about seeing announcements--not watching footage from games we've known about for one or two years.

Even worse.  They showed THE GAME last year and then pretended it didn't exist, this year!

Seriously!  Every reveal was for something we didn't care about, every game shown was something we've seen a million times before, and every previously-announced game we wanted to see was absent!  It's like they purposefully sabotaged it!

This is hilarious. You just listed six interesting games for the year. Six. That you may or may not like. That might not be up everyone's alley. Six games. What do you mean "not that bad"? Because it's better than the three the year before that included a Sonic game? Is this seriously what Nintendo fans have jaded themselves into thinking?

"My console of choice puts out gets one game I'm interested in every 2-3 months."

What happens if you get really into a game and beat it in 2-3 weeks?

"Well I guess I could replay it, otherwise my gaming calendar is all cleared up for the next 5-10 weeks".

How is that even remotely acceptable?

You forgot StarFox. Which, as a guy who didn't enjoy StarFox 64, looked freaking awesome...
It's really funny. Everyone was going apeshit for StarFox, and now that they have it, it seems it disappeared from E3.

How's that possible? The game is basically Starfox 64 with worse graphics for it's time and to my knowledge no multiplayer at all, which is also probably why it's not as big of a deal.

There are still a decent amount of games coming out.

The main problem with the presentation was the lack of new games we weren't expecting for me.

People had the wrong expectations. I wasn't disappointed.
I expected nothing and I got Mario Tennis. A net win :)

I expected nothing and got Amiibo Crossing Party 11, a net loss for humanity.

Stafox 64 looked really awesome for it's time, it's hard to live up to that.

But, it sure sucks to not know if things like multiplayer will be present, and having to just hope for the best.

I don't want to hope and be let down, I'd like to know!

For me it's more about the lack of innovation here. I expected some new features on the system. The U ecosystem is just crap these days. Miiverse is meh, the eshop meh, and the streaming apps already appear on 7 other pieces of hardware in my home. The Wii U is a waste. Just like the Wii it could do so much more, but Nintendo are just lazy. The apps outside of games are horrible and tvii hardly even works. Then the game selection is ok, but is linear and missing so much potential.

Throw us a surprise, even something basic like the blu ray license. Something cool like the purchase of crash bandicoot. Something fresh like 2nd gamepads for sale, something exciting like extended range for the gamepads. So many thoughts and possibilities, but so little achieved. They will just flog some crap games onto the system for the next 2 years and not improve the ecosystem at all.

Thank you for being the voice of reason :)

Had they simply held back Star Fox announcement until this E3 and re-announced SMTxFE out of the blue instead of earlier this year. Maybe added the Smash DLC and Earthbound Beginnings as well, people would be much happier.

People are so mad at a lack of big announcements they kind of forget that a lot of cool games are still coming.

Alrighty, the reaction threads are starting to clog up the forums, and frankly we've given folks enough time to air their grievances despite the plethora of threads to do so already (voting threads, e3 threads, etc.)

Locking.
