Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Is there anyone here who actually loved Nintendo's announcements?

On the plus side, we didn't too many bullshit trailers. That's an E3 trend that I wish would die. I prefer to see how a game plays, not how a game might look if it were a movie. The other thing is that almost everything that was present in the event seems to range from okay to pretty good. I didn't see anything that seemed bad. The problem is they didn't have enough big announcements.

I'm pumped for Yarn Yoshi, like extremely pumped. FIre Emblem and Xenoblade were exciting as was the new mario and luigi.

I've seen all these responses to Nintendo's e3, and you guys are exaggerating it so much. It was certainly an underwhelming presentation, especially compared to Microsoft's and Sony's e3. However, Nintendo's e3 wasn't actually BAD (with probably the exception of the Metroid Prime and Wii U Animal Crossing games being spin-offs).

I think the expectation that Nintendo would do much more is what makes it look so bad.

I loved what they didn't announce. Which is that the Wii U is dead.

Yoshi's Woolly World looked awesome, will most likely be my last Wii U purchase.

Not a fan of jrpg or Mario Sports games, so Wii U has nothing left for me anymore.

I was disappointed with the new reveals but for the games that they announced prior to E3, I was glad to see more trialers and footage

[3DS] Winter Playtimes [Wii U]

I liked Star Fox and that's about it. I think it looks fun. Release dates were nice for XCX,Star Fox,Mario Maker,Yoshi and what not and good to see SMT X FE is coming in 2016. But I cant say other than Star Fox,that i was excited about most of the announcements or showings

I was honestly considering a purchase of a Wii U this week dependant on what I saw in Nintendo's presentation. I'm quite keen on Xenoblade Chronicles X, Wind Waker HD and the upcoming Zelda Wii U game, but needed to see more to peak my interest before purchasing.

Unfortunately that presentation did nothing to inspire me to go through with the purchase, so I'll be holding off until something more interesting comes along. Or until I pick up a second hand Wii U really cheap (no idea why but the people selling second hand ones in my country seem to think selling them above retail price is the way to go, lol).

What I liked

SMT x FE
Fire Emblem Fates
Super Mario Maker
Star Fox Zero (which the "lackluster visuals" were only apparent in Corneria. The Desert level looked STUNNING)
Fatal Frame: Maiden of Black Water
Metroid Prime: Federation Force (even though it's a spinoff, it looks like a lot of fun and the hate is coming from butthurt dumb shits)
Yo-Kai Watch

Some parts were alright. Mediocre conference overall, but not exactly the disaster some folks would have you believe.
