Forums - Nintendo Discussion - Nintendo finally abandoning wii u? * Edit* more evidence Nintendo moved the games for NX

NX is looking to be the most supported NIntendo home console ever (from a 1st party pov).

Around the Network

Wii U is almost dead. NX is coming 2016.

We knew it since many months ago. It was just that some people wanted to tap their ears and close their eyes.

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

Yep, nothing for 2016 besides FExSMT confirms the next console is coming 2016. I hope they can get some multiplats for launch.

For the 3DS aswell, the games announced were only a port and spin-offs using assets from existing games. No major new installments or IPs for either system.

See, but remember the end of the Wii's life, when there were no games and we all assumed they were focusing on Wii U, and then Wii U came out and barely had anything? What happens if we assume this now, then wait for the NX, and find no games there either? I'm not making these sorts of assumptions.

HD development caught them off guard. They wont have that problem this time.

That conference was horrible. In every single way possible. It never got me excited about a single game once. This is an absolute disaster. I can't believe that they actually spent almost half their conference talking about useless stuff and they ended their conference on a friggin Mario video celebration promotion.

This conference was even worst then 2012.

Predictions for LT console sales:

PS4: 120M

XB1: 70M

WiiU: 14M

3DS: 60M

Vita: 13M

Yes, they are. For the first time I can see it clearly. And also for the first time I hope they release the fucking NX in 2016. I also hope they announce a port of Zelda U for it, because I'm done with this horrible console named Wii U after I get the most out of Splatoon. They make a weak console, with a gimmick even they don't know how to use, support it badly and don't even make an effort to make polished games for its last year. I supported Wii U until now even with all its design fails and game droughts because I always thought they were going to support it well until the end and also make games that take full advantage of it, but they ultimately showed me their fail and dropping support this time.

We, Nintendo fans, need to be real... they launched this console with what? A party game and a reharshed New Super Mario Bros. game they didn't even cared about making new songs for it. The following year: more party games, casual games (Wii Fit), and just 2 great games: 3D World and Pikmin 3. Pikmin 3 never took the most out of Wii U because it was originally a Wii game, 3D World was awesome, but left many wondering where was the "real 3D Mario", because it really just looked like a 3D Land expansion.

The following year: Mario Kart 8, which was the best in the series imo, Smash, and another 2.5D Donkey Kong no one asked for. What a wasted potential... instead of creating a beautiful and creative 3D platformer, they gave us another 2.5D game. But we can still consider 2014 a great year, cause Tropical Freeze was a quality game, and Smash + Kart were great as usual.

Moving into 2015: A fucking Kirby spin off that looks like an iPhone game. A Yoshi game, that instead of using new artstyle, reutilized Epic Yarn's style. One of the worst Mario Parties ever, and FINALLY a good and new IP: Splatoon. Star Fox looks like shit, Devil's Third is setting to bomb, but we'll have to wait and see, and then we have XCX, which should be wonderful.

I just talked about major/important games, I know I missed some too... but the whole Wii U life felt like this to me: wasted potential, wrong directions, disappointments.

The ONLY 2016 game I'm excited about is Zelda, and I hope they don't blow it too. Worst Nintendo generation so far. As a Nintendo fan, I'm very sad. You can deny it all you want, but they are being underwhelming, at best.

Sorry about the rant, I'm just really sad/disappointed.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

well, at least NX will probably receive more support from 1st party developers...
