Maybe Square-Enix can add their Bravely Default random-encounter and difficulty settings options to FFVII remake. That would definitely freshen up the game.

Blasphemy I do say, blasphemy! They do not need to change anything. Just update the visuals to current gen and take my money.

I admit the cloister trials in FFX are terrible but they make like 1% of the game. I love random encounters in FFX - the battle design is fantastic and most important you always have motivation - the Sphere Grid, where you can level your characters vs boring auto leveling in FFVII. It's not an opinion but a fact. FFs before FFX are worthless relics of the past.
Deus Ex (2000) - a game that pushes the boundaries of what the video game medium is capable of to a degree unmatched to this very day.

This. That game is perfectly fine. I even use the encounter change to grind faster. Since you can increase the rate. So it cuts down on time. And use it to avoid cheap deaths when I have to heal. Include any of the Bravelery Default adjustments. Fast Forward, Enounter Rate, Difficulty, and FF7 will be perfect.

What about leveling your Materia? I'd say that's akin to making your way on the sphere grid.

Yep, I do the same thing. Fast Forward would be amazing during the super long summon and magic cutscenes.

I still laugh how slow the normal magic cast speed is, in Braverly lol. The second speed fast forward should of been the default speed.

Yeah, unless I get a new spell that I want to see, I always have it at 4x.
