Dude, don't force it. Look at the context. The phrasing makes it pretty much clear that it will come to X1. If not, they would be dancing up and down the stage touting it as console exclusive.

"The Final Fantasy you always wanted can only be experienced on our console" is the equivalent of pure uncut marketing cocain. But they didn't say that, so they're either very very modest and regard PC as an actual gaming platform, or they live in reality.


I know, but this trustable source saying that put a good doubt on this, it's like when siliconera announced the game, no one believed them because " insiders" . So wait and see for more informations at Square Enix conference and PSX

XBox is still getting Final Fantasy XV though so really there's no reason it shouldn't get this game.

Sounds a lot like Sony made this happen, so i would expect this to be a console timed exclusive. PC 6 months down the road is my bet, I am sure SE is happy with that phat check.

Everyone connects Final Fantasy with Playstation in their head

FF13,in a gen were 360 and PS3 were equals,sold much better on the PS3
FF13-2 PS3 outsold FF13 360 even though the latter still had the hype

Type0 had 90% of its sale on PS4

No one will buy this game on X1 especially not months later
This isn't like Tomb Raider were everyone knows the good looking versions will come later
This is where the worse looking version comes later and where these games have no fanbase at all

Agreed from a sales POV, but not everyone can afford two $300-400 systems. Let XBox players enjoy it too, I'm sure MS will probably pony up a decent moneyhat for Square-Enix either way. No one really loses here.

Who the hell knows really. If the XBox brand existed in 1997, it could have possibly gotten the game too.

I don't care on what platforms, but it's happening :D

That's why I said right now the wording is leaning or in favor of "Timed Exclusivity"

But I think Sony would have already put this to bed. If it was a console exclusive they would have already said so.

FF VII was for PSOne and PC. I'm quite sure Sony retained some rights for the console exclusivity.

It is just Sony being humble and clear (ms kept bogus exclusive Holiday tag).

Will be lead platform and other versions will depend of other platforms numbers. They didn't put total exclusivity because contract have a way out for putting in other platforms depending of performance.
