You keep belittling FFVII as a "timed remake". What makes you so sure it'll appear on the XBOne?

I didn't...

You didn't belittle or you didn't say it would appear on XBOne?

Calling it "just a remake" is belittling, imo. Especially when everyone's collective heads exploded when Halo 2 was announced to be remade for XBOne in the MCC. That game wasn't "just a remake" to many.

And you may not have outright said it would appear on XBOne, but am I wrong to assume that that's what you were implying? Or does FFVII not matter as much because it'll probably be on PC? SF5 is still a "big deal", but it ships day and date on PS4 and PC. But because FFVII looks like it'll appear on PC later, it's "just a timed remake"? Would it be better if it shipped day and date and was a "console exclusive"? I don't understand how SF5 is a big deal as a console exclusive, but a PS4/PC FFVII remake isn't because "it's just timed".

Xbox: Better conference overall. Games that appeal to me. Better & more Indy's. New controller. TOMB RAIDER.

Question to OP: Why early access written in poll? It's not a big thing compared to other stuff they showed...

However, I found BOTH to be worse than last years'.  Also, MS might not ever win in any poll on VGC.

Well I didn't think MS "had it in the bag". That would be stupid to come to that conclusion when you haven't even seen the rest of the conference.

However, I didn't expect Sony to bring out the games they did. It was awesome. So was Xbox's though. I want Nintendo to do even better. Why? They're the underdogs. No one expects anything from them. I do though.

The real winners of E3 are those who own multiple consoles. We won't miss anything!!!

I'd say your two posts are instances of reading too much into things.

I did neither. Sony had a strong conference, just not for the reasons people are going on about. Existing franchises new installments had good showings, some promising new IP was announced. Whilst Halo MCC had possibly the most content a shooter has ever had (save perhaps the Orange Box), I tend to simply view the announcement of new games as being more important than the announcement of old games - much as they can still be enjoyable.

Watching it now. Here's my impression so far:

-Looking mighty fine, Last Guardian!

-Horizon looks fantastic. Not a big fan of that "Witty banter" anymore, though. Just seems childish at this point.

-OMG!! Hitman! One of my favorite series!!

-Street Fighter is coming along nicely. The sooner they announce a fight pad controller, the better!

-No Man's Sky. Not my cup of tea. Pass.

-Dreams.  Not sure what to make of it, yet.  Doubt I'll be making my own content but I'd love to give other people's creations a try!

-Assassins Creed with a vagina!?! SOLD!!  Haven't bought a full AC game since ACII but I'll be checking this one out!!!!

-The fuck is this shit?  World of Final Fantasy, eh?  Pass.

-Final Fantasy VII!!! IT'S HAPPENING!!!  IT'S HAPPENING!!!

-VR Headset looks nice.  Since Occulus is for PC, looks like I'll be buying this by default.  Best thing of the show for me, so far.

-Call of Duty, you filthy whore!!!

-Uncharted looks great as usual.  Day one purchase!  Looks way better than the underwhelming video they showed last year.

I liked Sony's conference quite a bit.  I don't know, though.  I think people see what they want to see and believe what they want to believe.  I mean, Shenmue wasn't even confirmed.  It was just another logo with the announcer saying "Make this a reality" or something.  Can't say that Sony or M$ won (though I enjoyed M$'s conference more.  I'm a Sony hater by nature!).  We'll just see what Nintendo has to offer and then make final judgement once the initial surprise wears off.

I have to hand it to VGC this year, Sony destroyed Microsoft and I voted for Microsoft last year. Sony proved their first party is heads and tails better than Microsoft creating games Microsoft could not fathom creating. Also, Tomb Raider wouldnt be where its standing without Uncharted and Uncharted is continuing to push the envelope.

I was very pleasantly surprised by MS' conference, but I don't know how anyone can say with a straight face that Sony's conference wasn't far better. Sony's conference was something straight out of a fanboy's wet dream.

Isn't that supposed to be the point though... they are making games for their fans...

Making an indie game : Dead of Day!

Playstation coference was much better than Xbox conference.

This is the worst sony conference ever for me, simply because I have very little interest in any of the big suprise games . Why is a remake of an old game a big deal? I'm so lost.

And they didn't even announce that other game. They announced a kickstarter campaign. That has to be the most shameful thing I've ever seen. If the game is such a big deal why didn't sony just fund it?

Only the last guardian has me intrigued, but I never played the spiritual predecessors so I'm not really sure if it would even be my cup of tea.

What's your favorite game. That you REALLY love. Someone makes a remake. That's what people feel.

Maybe its just me, but if someone made a remake to my favorite game growing up... I wouldn't care. I'm not big on nostalgia. Give me new stuff. I can understand getting excited about a sequel to a classic game but not a remake. I guess I'm just not the audience for this.
