Shenmue and FFVII and TLG always get rumored.  Are you honestly telling me you believed that all three of those would actually get anounced?

if so, I don't believe you.  Sure I heard those rumors too, but I wouldn't have possibly thought that all three would actually get announced along with Horizon, that's just a ridiculous thing to believe would happen, and it did.  

I don't know, the rumours were pretty solid. The only major rumour that hasn't transpired this E3 was Battletoads for Xbox One (and even that is being re-released). Sony all but told us TLG would be shown this time. I've also never known Shenmue to be rumoured in a serious way, letalone as being for PS4 and not Xbox one. But maybe thats just me.

Horizon was a lot fresher and more surprising than a kickstarter and a timed remake, but not many people seem to be talking about it so maybe thats just me!

That's from you on the expectations of FFVII, Shenmue, TLG, and CoD.  You didn't believe that all of those would happen.

I'm ready to be disappointed in Shenmue 3, though. It's a Kickstarter game, and I've seen people burned far too often on Kickstarter for it to change my mind.

Other than that, yes, Sony and Microsoft went out guns ablazing. If Nintendo brings their A-game at this E3, too, we'll have possibly the best E3 of all time.

I was very pleasantly surprised by MS' conference, but I don't know how anyone can say with a straight face that Sony's conference wasn't far better. Sony's conference was something straight out of a fanboy's wet dream.

That's from you on the expectations of FFVII, Shenmue, TLG, and CoD.  You didn't believe that all of those would happen.  

Sure, I had doubts about Shenmue...but there it is, as a console-exclusive kickstarter.

That thread is the perfect example. Sony fans believed all of this was coming.

But all anyone is talking about is that, a timed remake and a game that was announced close to a decade ago.

But now the conference is over, its all a big surprise.

And they didn't even announce that other game. They announced a kickstarter campaign. That has to be the most shameful thing I've ever seen. If the game is such a big deal why didn't sony just fund it?

Only the last guardian has me intrigued, but I never played the spiritual predecessors so I'm not really sure if it would even be my cup of tea.


If you have to ask why a Final Fantasy 7 Remake is important, then I think you're on the wrong website. 

 

And I'm sure Sony has made a hefty donation to the Shenmue 3 project. Which, by the way, it's over halfway to its goal in under three hours. 


Yeah seriously. $2 mil. ain't gonna make Shenmue 3, no way no how, It's additional funding and PR to push it over the edge so it gets made.

How does the backwards compatibility work? I didnt bother watching ms conference but i did love most if sonys. I couldnt focus after the ff7 announcement

I only noticed that none of them showed Mirror's Edge, so where was the point of making a whole conference anyway?
