Not true at all. Just because they aren't competing well doesn't mean they're not competing. "Doing their own thing" is a fancy way of saying "losing."

So you considered the Wii to be mainline (direct competition in specs with the others of the gen) and not "doing their own thing" ?

Honestly I don't expect NIntendo to announce anything that will crash NeoGAF, lol even VGChartz crashed after Sony's E3 conference, but I could be wrong.
