I think it will be the most successful Mario title on Wii U and probably the system-defying game. The question right now is will it be bigger, will it become a pop craze?

Its mario, so every game with mario always sells well for Nintendo because people who buy Nintendo machine main reason is mario. I dont expect to be GOTY/Huge success but will do fine as Wii U not going to get many releases to play during holidays so gamers have no many options and nintendo  marketing wil help sell well.

I don't think anyone doubts it'll be a hit. But whether it'd be a megaton hit is up in the air for the moment. It will comfortably do 2m.

Can it do MK8/Smash numbers? will it sell systems? I think this is whats being doubted. We won't have to wait too long to find out :)

I don't care too much for 2D mario and people are still looking for Galaxy 3 so I understand it going under the radar. It will surely review great, I don't see how they could mess it up.

I hope Nintendo is smart enough to add local co-op feature in SMM.

It remind me all the Flash game, mario sprited, wich was no interest formostly anyone because it was'nt canon.

and now, We get a little big planet mario(sorry its the only ref I can see as a platformer maker.)

It will be fun, but like little big planet, for a handful of good level designer you will have them drown in a see of crappy really crappy one.

It will go for a time, and rapidly collapse. It will go mostly for the hardcore gamer, and now How much Are they on WiiU
