i've asked it already in the Nintendo thread. If they have bundle DLC prices, which i think they have. i'm good with the characters but the Mii fighters though. I'm planning to buy Ryu. will check if there is a Ryu, Roy and Lucas + the new stage bundle and maybe save a few $$. i have both 3Ds and Wii U versions so it is somewhat cheaper to buy both than the Wii U version only.

Sadly, there is none at the moment. That would have been great... : (

Well, Nintendo can always put sales or lower the price if its not selling well, but they cant increase the price.

If you don't count Tekken Revolution.
But yeah, Harada's policy for Tag 2 was no paid DLC for core elements of the game. (Characters, stages, moves.)

that is sad. all in all, it seems that there would be an SF, Megaman and Tekken(Pokken) game for Wii U.  Should have just been Heihachi itself not a Mii Heihachi. i wanted an SF game for the home console but since PS have it time exclusive, i hope they'll release it for Wii U next year. but still my expectations is low.

going back to DLC, hope no more DLCs. or just push for free DLCs. Smash is already great and adding these content pushes additional $ for nintendo and maybe attract additonal buyers of the console perhaps.

I honestly don't think it's too expensive. They're just sticking with the other fighters that have very expensive DLC. Dead or Alive is super expensive.

Tekken Revolution was a free to play version of TTT2 with super moves and an extra character: Eliza

And the characters were more like Microtransactions as you could unlock them also for free

Fighting game characters usually start at $5 minimum, and all of them have shoehorned costume DLC. Usually, though, it's for real characters as there is no custom feature like the Miis

You should check out my YouTube channel, The Golden Bolt!  I review all types of video games, both classic and modern, and I also give short flyover reviews of the free games each month on PlayStation Plus to tell you if they're worth downloading.  After all, the games may be free, but your time is valuable!

I don't own smash yet, so it doesn't really affect me. Buuuuut....

Comparing prices to other fighting game DLC (looking at you mortal combat) it's completely in line with what the industry usually charges, or even a little cheaper.
However one might argue that 3-5 Dollars isn't really that great of a value per fighter anyways.

This is where Mario Kart 8s great DLC comes in. It has such great value for the price, naturally one can't help but compare that to smash DLC. It makes smashes pricing scheme seem bad by comparision. And while I like the flexibility of choosing every fighter/stage/costume on it's own I would like a pack with all of the dlc released so far, priced at about 15 dollars. I feel like that would be about on par with mario Kart dlc contentwise as well as pricewise.

This is going too far!

Many fighting games have $5 dlc characters, but most fighting games also drop down to $20 in price. Given smash bros history, the game will probably not fall below $40 for a long while.

Many people don't realise that having the complete roster is important for many. Ryu already seems to be overpowered, so you can't really ignore this purchase if you are trying to be competitive in the game. If it was just mewtwo, I would be fine with making a one-time overpriced buy, but it is 4 characters and more stages

This is really a pathetic cash grab by Nintendo, and unless the price changes, I hope this is the end of smash bros dlc.
