I listen to Chrono Trigger music very avidly. It is just great music....and I can recognize all of it. Which leads me to this thread. Listen at the beginning and you'll hear a totally remixed version of "Frog's Theme". That's an oddly specific theme to use for a teaser trailer. Especially considering that the franchise has remained dormant for years, recieving only a re-release on the Nintendo DS some time ago. Do you guys think that this is a hint that something will be done with the franchise in the near future? Is Square Enix doing a 3D Chrono Trigger remake? Or maybe a new entry!? Or will it be another re release?

You never know. It might be signaling a Chrono game.

I'd be down for a new Chrono game, but I think Chrono Trigger is a masterpiece and absolutely perfect in its SNES and DS versions., thus it does not need to be made in 3d. Chrono Cross, I would be more accepting of a 3d remake that also tweaks certain things and makes the game a little more understandable.

But why make that specific song the star of the show if they're just gonna...port it...AGAIN. I think they're gonna try and maintain the JRPG momentum on the PS4. I thought CT was alread available on Android.

If they make a song simply for a port announcement, I'd be pissed. I didn't really like Cross that much but that does seem more likely if they are going the remaster route.

I have been wanting to play Chrono Trigger but the SNES version seems a little expensive online, so I would be happy with a 3Ds version.
