Is the movie any good?

Personally, I thought it was amazing. I'm a huge Jurassic Park fan, and have always loved the mythos behind it. This one took the idea of the original and put it on steroids. I'm not gonna spoil anything, but if you're remotely familiar with the original this is a must see for the ending alone. The last 20 minutes or so, are probably the most goosebump inducing moments for a fan of the franchise.

I'll go see it tomorow

Bet reminder: I bet with Tboned51 that Splatoon won't reach the 1 million shipped mark by the end of 2015. I win if he loses and I lose if I lost.

Watched this on Friday. Much better than I thought. Short of capturing the magic of the original but moments did come close. I might just see it again on blu Ray.

Birds, Lizards, flying lizards, Reptiles, Sub-marine reptiles, amphibians and sub-marine amphibians.
Birds back then couldn't fly just yet due for the giant flying lizards but the cool thing is that most of these birds did in discovered scientific fact had feather just as the raptor family indeed had but what kind of feather is still unclear.

It's written quite stupidly at times but the action is certainly fun and the new Jurassic World is pretty inventive. This is a better type of "summer block-buster"/"popcorn flick" than those horrendous Transformers movies, so good on it.

However, how are people surprised that people flocked to this movie? The amount of people obsessed with the original is insane.

It's fun stuff.  You get to root for the good guys, the bad guys, and some bad guys are actually good.

Feels to me like a fan tribute film that still does some of it's own stuff.

Really not sure I see any point of Consol over PC's since Kinect, Wii and other alternative ways to play have been abandoned.

Top 50 'most fun' game list coming soon!

Tell me a funny joke!

Good to see you don't have to be a cliche superhero movie to do good at the box office these days.

You haven't seen the film yet. (Or you probably wouldn't say that!)

It was a momentous scene. The first time I watched the film, the audience cheered and clapped when she showed up. The music was also so fitting and just made it more impactful. Actually, the music was perfect in all scenes.

Yes! I'm so glad! Excellent revival.

Personally, I was quite let down by the CGI in the first trailer but a quick search shows that it has been improved. The Super Bowl trailer has far better CGI than the original imo. I don't know if you agree with me but the original CGI looks bland and not realistic at all.

Additionally, I was a bit let down by Chris Pratt's motor cycle training with the velociraptors. Those raptors were the most frightening thing about the original movie. People who've seen the movie actually seem ok with it, so that's very calming.

CGI has finally come to a point where it doesn't interfere with my enjoyment of the scenes. E.g. in "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes" the CGI is very close to hit that goal imo.
