Forums - Gaming Discussion - Mark Cerny Team Helping Finish The Last Guardian Development

Man if sony really shows it they have instantley won, doesnt matter if they decide to talk the rest of their press conference only about call of duty and batman exclusive deals. Nintendo and MS could show what ever the want they couldnt win the internet if the last guardian is shown by sony, only shemue 3 could save them in such an scenario.

E3 surprises aren't surprises anymore eh?... imagine if we all went to e3 expecting nothing and got the Last Guardian... imagine that, but now even if its announced it wont get half the reaction it could have gotten if we didnt get all those leaks before E3... as David Jaffe said, stop ruining the surprises!

I wish "leakers" would stop ruining surprise too. Especially last year, after all the leaks, nothing was even a surprise at E3

yea, that's true, hopefully Sony manages to keep something under wraps for a change

last year Sony announced Bloodborne at E3 and did anynone gave a F#CK? the answer is NO, because it got leaked before that so it wasnt a surprise (and it should have been a BIG ONE) and Sonys 2014 E3 instead of being remembered for that is now remembered for the "Powers" series  segment that went on for too long...

Cerny devoloped the ps4, i think his mind was graphics than gameplay at the time. I think he only helps for the graphics

I'm aware of who Cerny is. Doesn't change the fact that the game he developed with the remit of showing off the PS4's potential was mediocre in every respect.

There weren't technical problems with Knack. It was a rushed launch title that has some problems much like Kameo and Perfect Dark Zero on 360. I don't think that their assistance in finishing a game will any effect on the quality of the title. Santa Monica assisted on The Order to help get it finished, do they suck now?

hm, yea it would've been quite a big moment without prior leaks, but the reason it's almost forgotten at this point imo is that they only showed a CG trailer - and that after gameplay footage had already been leaked

I think a gameplay trailer would still have been a great and memorable moment even after the leaks

Not sure why everyone's pleased to hear that the team behind Knack of all things has been brought in to help out the team behind the fucking amazing SotC finish the game it's been struggling with for an entire generation. Sounds like mediocrity waiting to happen.

If we believe this rumour then we can also believe what've been told before. And that's that the game has been finished for years. All that remained was getting a proper PS4 version running. Nothing to do with game design or level design, etc... just the tech.

Cerny announces Knack 2.

So the game has been done for years and it took them years to get it running on PS4..... yeah that seems believable.

I don't see anything unbelievable about it.. couldn't be more plausible.
