To be honest if it was for Nintendo, I don't get why IGN would be revealing it as opposed to Nintendo's E3 Direct. Equally if this was a sony or MS exclusive I'd expect to see it on their stage, I'm going to assume its third party and they've been assisting on Star FOx

Miyamoto did mention that he wanted to find a developer to help assist with the game, and Bayonetta 2 did have those on-rails Star Fox inspired sequences. It doesn't seem impossible.
