I know that for many of us here, when thinking which game would take GOTY 2015, the first game that comes to mind is The Witcher 3. It has a brilliant and excellently well-crafted open-world, tons of things to do, great graphics and atmosphere and a good story. So does Batman: Arkham Knight stand a chance?

If I think about it, yes it does. The Witcher 3 seriously lacks in combat, one of the strongholds of Batman Arkham series. It has a good, but not great story, so this is another area where Batman: Arkham Knight can take the crown. But it would be hard for it create a more exciting open-world and have more exciting missions. Its about to launch soon, and I'm getting really pumped for it. Hope it lives up to the hype, and we can have another serious GOTY contender.

Honestly i think Kirby and the rainbow paintbrush will be the overall GOTY

Did you really just say ARKHAM KNIGHT might have a better story than THE WITCHER 3? The previous ARKHAM games aren't exactly narrative powerhouses.

To win Game of the Year, ARKHAM KNIGHT needs to top BLOODBORNE, THE WITCHER 3, METAL GEAR SOLID V, and possibly FALLOUT 4.

I just don't see it happening.

I think Batman has a better chance than the Witcher, but there are other candidates among unreleased games like MGS which is a strong candidate.
I think, in the end, the winner will be Halo 5

No chance. Bloodborne, The Witcher 3 and Halo 5 will beat everything!

Halo 5 looks great but to me the previous games don't really stand up to The Witcher 3 and I don't even think that Halo 5 will be better than Halo 3.

Yes, Batman and Fallout 4.

Batman is a fatigued franchise. So no.

I don't think so.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Before seeing a game play trailer I would have said, "ehh probably not, more of the same" ... After seeing it in action I would now change my answer to "it has a damn good chance!" Although I'm loving The Witcher 3 right now... but who's to say i won't enjoy Arkham Knight more?
