It's more about the mistakes Nintendo and then MS made than anything else. The only real difference between this and last gen with Sony is they are taking the approach to indies that Microsoft took with the 360. Other than that, feature wise it's basically just another PS3. Only now instead of a powerful Wii opponent you have a lackluster Wii U. And instead of MS making tons of good moves with the 360 you have their disastrous Xbone marketing start.

Imho of course. As a PS4 owner, I sure can't pin it on features or price or games.

The PS1, 2, and 3 all had better game libraries at this point in time too. PS4 still has a very weak library even though it's heading into its third holiday season.

I just find it incredible. We had three threads, one after the other; each dealing with a specific claim, and in every single one of them the excuse was layed to rest. And yet here we are again.

Sony had presented a console that appeases to gamers. Microsoft and Nintendo did not sadly, and as a result, indirectly helped Sony to further solidify its position this generation.


Just my beliefs however, but I do believe it is because of that.

Best value for money!!!!! Also my opinion but I would put it as a semifact but that would be crude.

People doesn't notice all the good things, only the bad things and Microsoft sure won that war with the bad things. 
While sony passed through with less bad=good which compared to microsoft made them rush all the way to the top beyond Sony's expectations. 
So basically the console with the less mistakes will be the one that doesn't get as badly reviewed, therefore giving off the best impression. 
So basically it doesn't matter what good these consoles do, it won't be noticed by the media and that is the trick to win the war.

That's the thing though. You bought the wii u for the exact same reasons why a lot of people bought the PS4. It has nothing to do with blind faith. You have a long history with the brand and you know that it will have the majority games of the games you want to play eventually. It's just that the playstation brand has a lot more appeal to a larger group of people. 

Could you just drop the downplaying, please? Handhelds are not consoles/home consoles. 

it's all subjective but thankfully, you're a part of a minority of gamers that think like that.
