Because the competition botched their launches. That and because they have assured the masses that their consoles will deliver games without any restriction.

Why can't they be third party? and why do they have to be 10 and who decides whether a game is great? or does metacritic now matter all of a sudden?

a third party is in xbox one and/or pc -.- why would it count as a ps title if another console has it, well you sony fans are the one who are saying that you have the best games and that they are the n°1 developer so i want to see witch are they cause the only title from ps4 that are bomb were: bloodborne, infamous second son and some tales series, and upcoming I only see uncharted and no man sky

Hardware, games, publishers, marketing deals, dev supports, SDKs, etc... etc... etc.

It is the best machine by a long way this generation.

Xbox one: Better exclusives on 2014, more better exclusives on 2015, shares the 95% of Ps4 games. It only has like a 15% less of performance in multiplatforms, Is cheaper.

WiiU: Best exclusives of the generation. 

Ps4: eh... 1080P, Best console ever.

I saw what you did there, I read the connotations about Splatoon, you don´t need to hide it , and it has nothing to do with that. I had intuition with this game since  day one and... yeah, i was right, and I knew it all the time.

The thing is I wouldn´t  bought a WiiU because "is going to deliver, I´m sure", that is a terrible reason to buy a console, I bought one whe I saw a good amount of games that I wanted on it and some games that were coming in few months, I dont believe long term promises and I don´t fall to the hype of CGI trailers for games that are coming in 2 years, and now, that´s all people is doing, because they want to believe, that´s all.

Sony always deliver, tell that to their new legacy console, PSVita.

I did specify Playstation as a home console brand lol, but for what it's Vita's support has actually been pretty good in the regions that care about it, namely Japan. Plus, I wasn't targeting Splatoon, specifically. I was talking pretty much anything.

Because PlayStation is simply the strongest home console brand of the three, while others would disagree, look at the evidence, the only time their home console didnt clean up the charts was when they launched 1-1.5 years after the competition at an eye wateringly high priceand pr blunder after pr blunder.
But even then they still managed to scrape second, and it's still selling respectable numbers even now, long after the ps4 released, and only 14m behind the Wii which, by all accounts was the golden child of news reports with its high sales.
