Forums - Nintendo Discussion - So i just played Splatoon for a large amount of time

just finished the thread. i would say that i have a 5 hour (sat) 9 hour (sun) play through. the 9 hour though have some bathroom breaks and have taken my lunch.

still a blast, i'm at level 18. wanted to max out my level then play the single player and the ranked battle. i'm not good anymore with shooters since the pc days in the early 2000s.

shooter genre is really more about you and your friends playing and having a blast. but splatoon is also great even without having your friend online, i know it would really be more fun playing with your close friends. but in Splatoon is really fun and the time is just 3-minutes. if DLCs are still coming the game is still fresh and hopefully they'll increase the level cap.

WHAT? LEVEL 18 already? And you say you're not good at shooters? I have played about 22 hrs of the game and am still only a level 13, I really suck!

Win or lose though, the game is still fun to play.

i gradually play an hour or so started last week on weekdays. when the kids and my wife are here, we played battle dojo hence i can't level up. i'm a little bit familiar on the gamepad controls but still need to try different type of weapons/subweapon/special combos like the sniper ones+bombs, etc. last weekend maybe i started around level 10.

i'll check my total hours logs for splatoon less the hours i've spent on battle dojo ( i know the dates). all are in turf war, haven't played ranked battles, that would prove myself being noob.

i have a bad day of gaming earlier, most of the time i've lost. but i've got my personal best score on a losing team 942. :)

last weekend, the most disappointing lose i have is a 2p lost. 4x.5% against 4x.6%

roller + kraken is my best combo and i have those good gears by now 3 slotted. it really helps a little bit i think.

I play 3-4 hours a day.

What posts make you want to say that? I'm fairly certain everyone here has played an online shooter before Splatoon.

It was a feeling from the posts that made me want to post the previous comment. But the hesitation in my previous comment has been proved justified now, in fact thanks to you, who have come forward with your clairvoyant powers that have allowed you to be "fairly certain" of what the posters in here have played and what they haven't played and prove me wrong. I have learned my lesson: leave conclusions like the above to you Metahumans.

I doubt it, but there are probably a lot of Nintendo fans that suffer from not liking utterly forgettable and interchangable dudebro games with terrorists or zombies, that either take themselves way too serious or are trying too hard to be edgy and cool :)

Lots of Nintendo fans are praising games like Bloodborne and The Witcher, Bayonetta obviously, and supporting games like Bloodstained.

I think the craze could be explained by Splatoon trying something new in a stale genre, and the fact that it works very well mechanically and has a surprising amount of depth underneath the surface. And yes of course the aestetics helped but isn't that the case for every game? Nintendo fans also praise the creepy atmosphere from Metroid.

But each to their own I guess. It's happened to me, not understanding why everybody love a certain game.

You know, that "dudebro" label is as legit as the one about colorful games being games for children.

I agree with you, there are games that earn a lot of praise and it doesn't make any sense to me, but that is how things roll and doesn't take my sleep away either.

Don't be upset that I called you out on your ridiculous post which assumed that people in this thread had not played a competitive online shooter before just because they're satisfied playing Splatoon. That's your issue, not mine.

And damn right I'm a metahuman.

I am not angry really. I am not the one who claims to know what everyone here has played or not.

Nope, I kinda did not. I said I felt like saying what I said, there is no claim in that post unlike yours.

My post didn't have a claim. I said I was "fairly certain" that it was true, not that it was in fact true.

You said you felt like saying what you said, but you actually said it, therefore it was a claim about the people in this thread.

I am gonna entertain this pointless argument one last time because it will keep going without end.

My post was about me saying that I felt like saying something, feelings, desire, urge, drive.

You said you were "fairly certain" about what people here have played or what they haven't played, claiming knowledge.

Which one is closest to claiming something? That one is yours, that one is you.
