Forums - Nintendo Discussion - So i just played Splatoon for a large amount of time

Eh...disagree. I certainly think it has lasting appeal, just not to you obviously.

I bet the Wii U would sell more than 15M LTD by the end of 2015. He bet it would sell less. I lost.

I've played around 50 hours by now and I don't find it boring yet.
The ranked mode keeps me busy, as well as trying to get the best possible gear.
Ofc the new weapons and maps that are getting constantly added help too!

If you're interested in Nintendo content and understand german, maybe you want to take a look at my youtube channel! :)

It's a 9/10 game, just lacking a bit in content right this moment, but since that's being slow rolled out over a couple of a weeks, I don't see the big deal.

The craze could be explained by Nintendo fans having another release from their favorite company and enjoying it. Plus it is all colorful and stuff, the way they like them games.

So that explains W101, Kirby and others sales, right?  Right?

I mean it can't possibly be something as simple as people like the damn game and you don't, can it?

I don't understand this quote and argument at all. I found The Wonderful 101 interersting since day one, I like PlatinumGames myself. I just said that Nintendo fans like Nintendo games, there is nothing wrong with that.

You said it sells because it's a colorful Nintendo game.  But not all colorful Nintendo games sell.  Hence another reason must exist.

Massimus - "Trump already has democrat support."

It's a pretty great game. Played around 15 hours, a little bit tiring right now but it's still great great fun. No doubt playing in smaller bursts would help out better, but everyone sees things differently.

No, no. The colorful piece goes separate in the post. The craze I was talking about was that of fans writing and writing and opening thread after thread for Splatoon.

If we are talking about sells, I would say that there is no Splatoon craze, just a good selling game.

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

I haven't been able to play it that much, only because my 3 other roommates started playing it too. They started watching me play it and got hooked. It's a very charming and interesting game really.

Splatoon isn't really a "lets sit down and play this game for 8 straight hours" type of game anyway.

It's much better enjoyed in 1-3 hour bursts daily.

Not everyone can like every game so okay.

The game looks fun indeed but I never got that feeling of having to go out of my way to buy it like I get with other games.

I don't have proof for any of the following, but I have this hunch that maybe there are a lot of Nintendo fans that may suffer hemophobia or something. That would explain the way that some of them have this immediate reaction of repelling anything with gore and Kool-aid spilling action that comes their way. This may be good material for an specific study in the future, interesting stuff.

That's a quick diagnosis.
