Forums - Gaming Discussion - Hardest game you've ever played?

Rings of power. Try it without any walk through.

The original Devil May Cry. I never dared DMD, but even on hard Mundus was an absolute pain. Fzero GX is an obvious choice as well. Brutal storymode...

Megaman/Rockman III (NES). Guts man stage, the stage where there would ride with something then can drop you off. and i forgot which stage, the blocks that appear and disappear. need to remember the pattern. easy nowadays since you can watch walkthroughs.

Twinbee - does this game have an ending? try completing until the 5th stage. and you'll see how it had become moving onwards, especially the boss. since I can't complete it, i've tried the emulator for save state and reload state but still it seems a never ending stage on the last part. or would just repeat to the 1st stage with harder enemies. (able to see it because of the emulator).

recently FFXIII-2 first and second Caius boss fight. i don't know what would work. took a while to defeat him but still haven't 5-star him. i've grind out experience and level hence the final Caius boss fight isn't that bad.

anyway i believe the hard games are really mostly during the 8-bit era. i think kids nowadays won't try to play that much if the game is too hard.

Love this lol

There is no such thing as a "hard" videogame, you guys just suck at them.

Well, you got me.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Ninja Giaden Black on the original Xbox. Also Dark Souls/Demon Souls.

I got to that Rachel boss in the cathedral. I must've spent 3 hours trying to beat her. The closest I got was 1 hit away. Then I died. That was 2 hours in. For the last hour, I couldn't even get her to halfway and I quit the game. Haven't touched it since. That was....10 years ago now.

The hardest game I ever beat though was Metroid Prime 2: Echoes (hard mode) on the GameCube. The Wii version of it is a joke compared to.

Rastan on the C64, because you actually cant complete it without an action replay cart.

I can't belive it's true. And here I thought modern developers where lazy... these guys make EA or Ubisoft look good...

This just doesn't count as hard. This is bullshit.
