Those stats are very interesting and while I don't understand half of the stuff, I do understand that those results are far from ordinary. I would guess it helps to determine the weakest link in your body which might not be as obvious one would think. Thanks for sharing Reim.

Olympic lifters are strong guys. There are so many elements needed in the sport, speed, flexibility, strenght, explosiveness, technique all come together for a very short moment. I pretty much appreciate every sport there is but I would mention gymnastics and especially rings. Ring gymnast do propably some of the most demanding multi-dimensional upper body exercises there are. Stuff like Iron Cross is so far beyond even a well trained athlete that you gotta wonder how many years of work it took.

I cannot imagine toilet-free life.

Kebabs have a unique attribute compared to other consumables. To unlock this effect you need to wolf down a big ass kebab really fast, like under 10 minutes or so and wait for the effect to kick in. If done correctly your movements should feel unbelievably heavy to the point where you literally cannot move at all.

Thanks Nymeria and WC4Life! I quite like the site as well as it helps confirm the areas where I need to work harder. In my case it is chest and shoulders that need to catch up. This isn't a surprise for me as last year I was not allowed to train those press muscles as much seeing as I needed as much shoulder ROM as possible being a baseball pitcher. That's why my legs/core/back are all so far ahead of chest/shoulders.
I am definitely proud of where I have come to but I know that I can surpass these numbers still. I should also clarify that the squat and deadlift PRs were from last March; the rest are current (pretty damn close to breaking those though).
Augen, that is exactly the point! I know I've said it before but since the changes are incremental you yourself will not notice them as much as others do - which is why so many people track to keep inspired and focused. Keep up the good work! You will make it.
Sidenote: Yea those gymnasts are insane! Probably the most impressed I have been is when I watched one (forget who) do an effortless muscle-up on the rings. That was cool

Just had an insane leg day on thursday. 405lb squats, 455lb deadlifts and 675lb leg presses all within an hour of eachother. No better feeling in the world than moving heavy weight with bloody shins! I will hit that 500lb deadlift soon! Probably once I dedicate a day towards it.
Once I'm out of uni and settled down I think the coolest thing would be renting out a small building or a basement with my friends and creating our own little gym. One power rack, one platform, one bench, 3 olympic bars, a set of dumb bells up to 150, a bunch of plates and change should be plenty. Throw in a heavy bag too. I think that would be such a cool thing to have

Any recommendation to find balance between life, games, school and working out? I might get a gym where I live, so I'd like to go back to working out and get the old athletic body I had

Bet with bluedawgs: I say Switch will outsell PS4 in 2018, he says PS4 will outsell Switch. He's now permabanned, but the bet will remain in my sig.

Hey Slarvax, sorry I saw this so late

It is possible! What you need is focus. Be able to schedule all the important things into your daily routine.

For example, on a weekday during school year here is my schedule:

5:00 am: wake up, eat breakfast, shower etc.

6:00-9:00 am: work

9:00-10:30 (depending on earliest class): gym

10:30-3:00 (on average) school

3:00-6:00: work again

6:00-9:00pm: free time, in bed around 9:30pm

Weekends: Put an 2 hours each day aside for gym stuff, then have the rest of the time as free time

Depending on when your classes are you can easily work in gym time and video game time. It's all about deciding what is most important to you. I'd say time management, going to bed early and controlling your spending are the most important factors for a busy student. Apart from eating well, showing up to class and doing homework that is. You can plan events with your friends for evenings and weekends usually

If you want to be stronger you have to set aside time. I would say having a program can be helpful so you go in each time with a goal and strategy.  For example, mix up what mmuscles you work to avoid overexerting a single set.  Also, don't feel guilty about rest days, muscles grow during recovery.  Lastly, make sure to monitor diet, don't want to lose hard work in the gym by what you do in the kitchen.  Good luck!

I'm gonna shoot for a PR this week! Maybe even more than one, because I'm confident I can 1 rep all my lifts. That's how good I feel. Expect an update later this week; maybe even some pictures or videos
I've thought about taking up Yoga as well to help improve my flexibility and balance, but this is probably how I will look lol:

Yoga is much harder than it looks, lot f core strength and flexibility there.

Example of work out this weekend.

7 Rounds:
10 clean and jerk at 85 lbs
10 push ups
20 bar hops

Rest For 5-10 mins

Do some work on squats, specifically front squats at 135 lbs doing 1 to 2 reps at a time focusing on breathing and form.

I have to mix in some cardio or I'd only lift. Censored face due to modesty.

What program would you say you are following? An Olympic Lifting program mostly right?

Oh, I forgot that this thread exists. It's your fault RomTom.

So yeah, it's been about a month and half since I've starting lifting again after a two year long "break". I didn't have a choice really. My brother flew over to visit me on his vacation and he's been pestering me to get back every time I called him. Bodybuilding is not just a fetish for him you see, it's also his second job. We both got a membership to the closest gym to my apartment. Fun place, lots of awesome and polite juice heads. I couldn't afford the membership nor the protein shakes (which is one of the reasons I stopped) so he bought everything for me! T^T

It's frustrating when you look at the weights you used to lift while the vague image of what you looked like is constantly on your mind, then you try to start with 40lb, then realize you could barely lift 25lb. The most difficult part was the food. I dislike meat, and I don't enjoy eating chicken everyday. I also barely ate three meals, or got the minimum amount of nutritions my body needed every day. So every meal my 198lb meat loving brother cooked was difficult to get down at first. Now I get hungry every two hours.

On the first month, I've used almost double the weights I've used the week before. Now I can comfortably bench press 100lb with dumbbells. Stopped smoking, and I feel a lot better, mentally and physically. Though I'm not sure if want to continue. I can't tell if got back to lifting weights because it's something I want or just to humor my brother. It's an expensive and time consuming lifestyle/hobby.
