I haven't played that specific DLC but the game is the best one in the series.

I can't say how it works on Steam, but in the 360 version, it didn't matter when you got the DLC. Whenever you download it, it will just show up on the world map as a mission. I doubt it will matter on Steam.

That being said, I honestly didn't think the Overlord DC was all that amazing. The game itself is though.

I think I played the Shadow Broker dlc and it didn't matter when I played it if I recall right.

Speaking for all of the DLC, It's designed in such a way that, no matter when you download it, it just becomes part of the regular game. You won't even notice if it's there or not. It's just a natural stand alone section of the game.

It doesn't matter. When you download it, you should get a message on your quest terminal about new quests being available. ME2 was such a fun game and then ME3 happened. Heck i enjoyed that but the more i thought about it, the worse it got. Then i stopped thinking. Win win.

Thank you guys!

I'll start on ME2 soon!

So excited! I love ME1 so much lol.

Well this one turns more into a 3rd person shooter with rpg elements. Pacing is best in the series. Enjoy!

Got the game on PS3 a few years ago and it had almost all of the story DLC on the disc. Game stole a month of my life.

As a warning, some things were changed in the series. Some of those changes were bad and some weren't. ME2 was optimised to have more of a shooter feel to it so it shedded a few of the  rpg elements. I didn't care for the changes to gear, ammo/heat sink and inventory but that's me. ME1 had the most character customization in it compared to the others. You might not be bothered with any of that. I hope that you at least enjoy it.

yup youll be fine but make sure you get the overlord dlc ..great game man makes me wanna do another playthrough

Yeah I heard and that was a huge downer for me but I'm fine with TPS games. Having RPG elements is a plus.

(Even though Borderlands isnt a TPS but a FPS with RPG elements - I enjoyed that too!)

ME3 I think brings it back the other way a bit and strikes the perfect balance.

Overlord will be playable if you buy it halfway through - it wasn't the best DLC ever.

BUT Shadow Broker DLC was some of the best DLC for any game ever!
