night for her first car as a reward for acing her exams in school and earning early college credit. Shes overcome so much!

No, that's horrible, horrible parenting. Punishing your child is one thing, humiliating your child in public is something entirely different. You'd have to be completely messed up in the head to even consider doing what this idiot did. His daughter was a thirteen year old kid, thirteen. Lots of children have emotional issues in that age, it's part of being a teenager, it's part of growing up, and a good parent should understand that and not do fucked up things like cutting of the children's hair and posting a video of the humiliating act for everyone to see.

Have any of you guys been to a store or a restaurant and seen a parent reprehend their child wether by spanking or yelling? That is public shaming. Embarrassing children in a attemp to discourage bad behavior has happened for hundreds of years. I guarantee you all your parents have done it to you atleast once. The only the did the father is guilty of is not realizing the emotional stress from bullying his daughter was going through and how un unintentionally added to it.

Well, his kid killed herself as a result of his action and lack of understanding of her mental state. I would consider that a failure on his part.

None of my post was actually written in response to the actual event, just in response to the "public shaming" by a parent is shocking or new or unheard-of. There are tons of embarrassing moments on the internet that the victims of the moments which didnt happen: sextapes, "leave Brittany alone! as examples,but you dont kill yourself over it. This girl obviously had more wrong in her life than what her father did and that is really overlooked here. 

That is exactly what I just said.

An emotionally compromised adult is NOT a child. Normal children don't behave this way, even when they play rough.
